The album does see them traveling further afield. [Aug 2014, p.110]

International announces Lust for Youth as one of the finest acts giving synth pop new life in the 2010s.

Norrvide still sounds a little glum, but he's got plenty to be happy about here. [Jul 2014, p.76]

International is extremely effective as a pop album, with stand-outs ('Armida' is very, very good) and a consistency of tone matched by pretty flawless execution.
  5. Recorded with Vår’s Loke Rahbek on synth and Malthe Fischer, ex-Oh No Ono, on guitar and production, these 10 electro-pop songs truly glisten.

International is a sign of gradual progression for Lust For Youth; there’s occasional backward looks by Norrvide, but slowly and surely this music is stepping out of the shadows and into the light.

Imperfect as it is, International is proof that the group's future is limited only by the force of its wanderlust.

International is brilliantly pop in substance and spirit.

Rather than lending International depth, it shrinks the album into an admittedly accurate recapture of top-heavy, single-centered records of Norrvide’s preferred influences.

International is Lust for Youth’s cleanest work to date, and in some ways that also makes it their creepiest.

I love that this album is doing all the stuff I love which is like a resurgence of cool new-wave, goth-pop-synth... Unlike Pitchfork, I likeI love that this album is doing all the stuff I love which is like a resurgence of cool new-wave, goth-pop-synth... Unlike Pitchfork, I like the almost 5 minute of talking on the one song "Lungomare" because the words are delivered in a nice almost songlike pitch which I call "wording" (words/singing) and also because of the cool stuff that's going on in the background - very interesting. A very solid, modern sound. Recommended! Full Review »
