  • Summary: Aw... little Justin's all grows up. First Mickey Mouse Club, then 'NSync, and now this, his solo debut. Can he be a success on his own? Well, having Timbaland and The Neptunes along as his producers certainly won't hurt.

  1. Few songs on the album are as perfect as [the opening] two, but many of them are nonetheless excellent.
  2. 80
Much of the album is like 1980 revisited and updated. [Jan 2003, p.115]
  3. This is Justin Timberlake squealing like Michael Jackson's pet monkey, a recipe for joy if ever there was one.
  4. Timberlake, having failed to imprint his personality on 'Justified', simply stands or falls on the strength of the songs. Luckily for him, half a dozen of them - mainly Timbaland's - are brilliant.

The best songs have already been released (Like I Love You and Cry Me A River), but there are still a few other songs (Seniorita and Right for Me) that will keep the popularity of this CD going. Plus, there's such a mix of sounds on this CD, you can't help but listen to it all the way through and appreciate Justin's sound. Expand
  3. Justified proved to be a strong first solo effort from N'Sync front boy Justin Timberlake. And while loaded with sure-fire hits (and some very memorable), as an album it sounds repetitive. Expand
