Liam Payne's only album so far in his career is a collection of mid-to-poorly executed pop cliche rejects, that sound more like a playlist of songs over the course of his entire career rather than a consistent body of work.

If I could give this a -10 I would. This album is absolutely horrible, he just shoved his entire discography on one album without any care and the songs aren't even good either. One of the songs both ways is biphobic as hell, and heart meet break is autotuned so badly that my ears almost started to bleed. This must be why he's so desperate to get One Direction back together...yikes

This album is very bland. It's so boring except for a few highlights like For You, Polaroid and Get Low which depend on the collaborators. The songs are filled with flexing, sex and misogyny. What a waste of Liam's potential.

Didn’t think it would be this bad. He has no originality. Waste of talent.

A basic and boring album. Lyrics and substance could be better. Same themes and topics throughout the whole album make it unlistenable

Terrible. A compilation of songs for Spotify playlists. His voice is beautiful but the rest.... He could do so much better but based on this any release from him in the future is a no from me.

really not innovating or cohesive, all tracks sound like recycled justin bieber x 2015 forgotten artists demos remixed to a more recent year sound. Some artists are simply not meant for be solo artists. This album doesn’t do justice to his voice, a long album with awful and laughable lyrics.

this album just didn’t do it for me. it has some okay songs like remember or for you but the negatives overpower the positives. for example let’s take the bi fetishising song both ways. it’s a terrible song with a terrible message and it’s not even his own experience. i have no problem with songs from other people’s perspectives (ex. taylor’s album folklore has some great examples of this)this album just didn’t do it for me. it has some okay songs like remember or for you but the negatives overpower the positives. for example let’s take the bi fetishising song both ways. it’s a terrible song with a terrible message and it’s not even his own experience. i have no problem with songs from other people’s perspectives (ex. taylor’s album folklore has some great examples of this) but when you’re singing about your girlfriend being bisexual and fetishising it it’s absolutely disgusting. overall this is just my opinion but this is his worst work. his ep was way better than his debut album and i really hope he finds his sound soon and stops making radio songs. There are a few standout tracks like "For You", "Polaroid", and "Bedroom Floor", so that's why I give this album a 3. But I feel like this album is so basic, and I don't like how he sings about sex and girls the whole album, especially in the song "Both Ways". Liam made me disappointed. Worst album of the year, boring, repetitive, awful lyrics. Both Ways is the worst song of the year. Don't waste your time in this.

I would define the word "bland" as LP1. Every track is a poor attempt at chasing one trend or another. Liam needs to try again with more effort.

Es una pena que su potencial y talento quedarán desperdiciados con un álbum tan mediocre, es aburrido de principio a fin, no hay una sola canción que me haga sentir algo más que aburrimiento. Fue una tortura escucharlo.

An album full of 2012 Chris Brown rejects with absolutely no soul or creativity. Lyrics are asinine and barely performed with any vigor. Don't know why he doesn't use his good voice to his advantage and make interesting jazz (or another genre that suits his vocals) songs instead of making outdated pop trap radio "hits".

Some songs have horrible lyrics, and there's a lot of old songs in it ( strip that down, get low, bedroom floor, for you, familiar). Through all this songs you suddenly get a Christmas song which is weird and confusing.

A bland, pointless mix of genres, along with a splash of biphobia makes a terrible album. If it was satire, it would be great, because it is hilarious, but it's not.

If you've ever found yourself about to listen to Justin Timberlake but then thought to yourself "You know, I wish there was a version of Justin Timberlake that was more like a discount ALDI brand", then this album will probably tickle your fancy.

I havent heard anything this bland in my whole life. And i listened to BAD music but this was just bland and I hoped it was over after every song. This record sounds like a robot was fed with the most generic sounds of 2018/2019 and had to produce an album on its own. I think Liams voice doesnt sound bad but it is just soooo boring. Dont even bother listening to this

achei um péssimo álbum as músicas parecem as mesmas e faltou emoção, liam tem potencial mas prefere fazer pop genérico que não me agradou muito.

He relies on inane songwriting concepts, rote misogyny, and feelingless flexing. The lyrics are puerile and half-baked.

Spread over 17 songs that tick off genres with all the flair of an automated Spotify playlist, Payne’s anonymity remains the album’s default through line. Occasionally painful yet weirdly Payne-less.

Ultimately, a few things come from repeated listenings of “LP1″: First off, the writing and singing aren’t strong enough and come across as C-level Timberlake material. Two, without being surrounded by 1D, he shouldn’t sing high, flightily and airily, but rather stick to slow, low groovers. Three, Payno should find one or two styles that work best for him — and not put a host of other singers before him, male or female — and stick to them.
