Taylor keeps reinventing her music and herself as well. Midnights sounds like a combination of her previous works but with a more mature narrative and more in-depth lyrics, with melodies that are very soothing for the ears. Masterpiece.

This album it's amazing. The pop production it's exquisite, the lyrics... It's impossible not relate to them. And her voice has improved massively! Even when Midnights feels like a mix between 1989 for it's synth pop and the bubblegum melodies of Lover, she has delivery a brand album very original. Instant classic!

Midnight is bound to be ridiculed and dismissed using the 1st three letters of it's title but it's not the precipitous drop you reactively feel it is once the credits roll. It had the daunting task of following up arguably one of Swifts biggest eras and unfortunately it doesn't measure up. It's not an improvement but possibly a slight regression. Feeling closer in sound to her 2019 bubblegum rainbow burst of confectionery pop with focus on love, activism and acceptance. It would have been better received in succession to that 2019 record but now it feels quite under baked. From the clunky lyrics that uncharacteristically burden a sizeable portion of the record to the productions missteps. Even so "Midnights" is a love letter to her fans, a treat that tries to reassure them that she can return to pop whenever she wishes and though she proves so she accidentally suggest none of returns to the sound will resonate . Nonetheless the Janet Jackson(snow on the beach) references, vulnerability (you are on your own kid)and ambitious(vigilante **** ) still make this a win for Swift and a repayable transitional statement to Swifts abundance . Highlights: anti hero, snow on the beach, labyrinth, sweet nothing

While some current artists have attempted to take over the genre as she made a quick stopover in the alternative, singer-songwriter realm, Taylor shows us why she's the best in the industry as she easily and quietly takes back her crown.

Same old stuff. She is a great singer, but never go out herself. her new album don't change global music, its same pop, same semples and same rhymt. Beyoncé and Drake make new generetion move out. She is definityly be in stuck. Like Adele in her crying ballads

"More of the same". This teenage pop style, with the imaginary plot of those who don't come out of puberty, doesn't sound like something that 20 years from now will be remembered for its content. Numbers! That's all that can make these works remembered, because culturally it doesn't add anything to be registered in pop culture as great landmarks of memorable pop stars: Michael Jackson,"More of the same". I think that Taylor is a queen of this world, she proved that she knows how to create an album and that’s cool, I love lavender haze and labyrinth is amazing, but snow on the beach is very different, I mean Lana only sings the chorus and I don’t like that, i was hoping to hear her sing but out of that, this song is perfect and very relax. Taylor Swift returns with something never done before. Just like her previous entries, Taylor Swift doesn't let the current trends in music industry to define her music and comes with a fresh style. Despite resonating with 1989, reputation and folkorian woods, Midnights has create its own special sound. The songs hit you in the heart (as expected from a Taylor Swift song). She’s done it again! Midnights is a sonically and lyrically brilliantly well done album. Swift has a way of writing about every feeling that can be felt in a way we can all relate. 10/10.

I’ll never understand why people sensationalize this music. Midnights is the same thing we’ve heard from Taylor time and time again. Where’s the edge!?

It allows Swift to do what she has always wanted: make an album for its own sake that is received primarily as a work of art instead of a commercial entity or tabloid fodder.

It is very good. ... There are no major missteps within the album, although not everything works as well as the album’s brightest spots.

While her 10th album doesn’t make instant classic status like 1989, and Evermore and Folklore remain her masterpieces, it is still an understated, beguiling look into the mind of one of the biggest pop stars of our age.
