New Musical Express (NME)So exciting that it should come with a precautionary bottle of Prozac. [6 May 2006, p.33]

If you have never come across Polysics before, this album would be quite a good jumping on point.
-
Polysics is not cute. It is rock and/or roll.
-
Sure, the time-tested formula delivers as expected, but ultimately the rote freakout leaves you wishing the band could bring the hammer down like it used to.
-
Unfortunately, Now is the Time! short-circuits early, leaving us with an empty gimmick and a few good synth-zapped riffs.
-
Songs like "Walky Talky" and "Bye-Bye-Bye" reference the band's Devo inspiration a bit too explicitly, but overall Polysics show themselves to have for the most part outgrown their influences.
-
UncutWhile often inscrutable, it's seldom boring. [Jun 2006, p.110]
-
UrbPolysics' contorted robotones are so hot they should spew from volcanoes. [Apr 2006, p.97]
-
While Polysics have certainly come into the peak of their sound with Now is the Time, the mindless intensity of the album can be a tad overwhelming.
-
Q MagazineSo migraine-inducing that the Crazy Frog would seem like light relief. [May 2006, p.129]
