    "Gimmie The Love" and "Ain't No Rhyme" definitely fall flat, but other than that the album is solid. Unfortunately, there just isn't any standout tracks though. No "Two Fingers" or "Lightning Bolt" to be found. A big track could have saved this album.

    For the most part, Jake Bugg does a good job here of pushing out of that nostalgic comfort zone he's been pigeonholed into in the past. Doesn't quite top Shangri La for me, and not every risk totally works, but this kind of modernization & diversity was a good way to keep things fresh.

    This album is very different from Jake Bugg and Shangri La, definitely. This is more catchier and pop-ish. My favorite, at the moment. It is OK to change music style. People who expect artists to sound the same as always are idiots. Monotony is boring.

    On My One, de Jake Bugg sin duda es uno de los mejores discos que he escuchado en toda mi vida, cada una de las canciones que conforman el disco tiene un carácter único y poderoso.

    On his third LP (and first minus additional songwriters), 22-year-old U.K. roots revivalist Jake Bugg mixes Americana and British folk as skillfully as ever. ... He's less successful updating his sound.

    On the whole, the produced numbers are better than the unadorned cuts: Bugg's nasal twang gets buried underneath the gloss and the hooks are pushed to the forefront. The whole thing adds up to a bit of a mess, not in the least because Bugg's schtick was his authenticity.
