    Ignore lazy comparisons to 'folktronica' artists: This spectacular album - surely one of 2005's finest - manages to weave disparate musical strands into a gorgeous, singular, work of pop majesty. Rather than thrusting melodies into your face, these songs insinuate themselves gradually into the psyche and then refuse to let go. The album can be enjoyed on so many levels: the gorgeous texture of the sound; the melodies; the programming; the sampled live instrumentation and the lyrical depth all contribute to an album that just keeps on giving.… Expand
