  1. A pop album that, for all the lightness and joy that come with humming synthesizers, punchy horns and sing-along melodies, requires listeners to do some pretty heavy lifting.
  2. Here, the synth-pop has a monotone feel to it as track four sounds like track five, which sounds a little like track seven, etc. That's the downside of setting the bar high with your previous album.
  3. Aqueduct's most relaxed numbers are the strongest, where guitar, piano, and synth fuse in rare harmony.

    I'm not sure if I can top the last review, but found this to be a great album. He stretched out into new directions and appreciated that he didn't try to remake I Sold Gold. You gotta see them play live. It adds another dimension that they have yet to capture on their albums.     It's not the mini-pop masterpiece that is "I Sold Gold", but it's not trying to be. Not a dissapointment. The first four tracks are among the best he's ever done, and "As You Wish" has been stuck in my head for two months. Full Review »
