Out Of Control is, generally, yet another excellent album from a group who may have risen from a lot of people's 'guilty pleasure' to becoming full-on national treasures.
-
Not their best, but still more consistent than any British indie album released this year.
-
The girls play to a new beat in this album, as they focus on evolving their sound while changing up their lineup.
-
While Out of Control is by no means Girls Aloud's best album (their third effort, "Chemistry," is probably still their crowning glory), it is nonetheless not only one of the best pop albums of 2008.
-
There is an exploration outside of archetypal Girls Aloud territory on their latest offering but it barely steers too far from their recipe for success.
-
Out of Control is more of a lucky dip, with scintillating trinkets and humdrum knick-knacks.
-
Despite ear-catching touches such as the deadpan voiceover on 'Love Is the Key,' nothing hits the spot like the Phil Spector-like single 'The Promise,' one of this year's better chart-toppers.
-
MojoOut Of Control is something kinda meh. [Jan 2008, p.104]
-
For an album called Out of Control, it's astonishing just how bland and devoid of personality or expression this is.
