DanielB.Jun 22, 2010Showed that Em can now rap about more that slicing up woman and popping vicodin. Very good album.

JayT.Jun 22, 2010Introspective with excellent lyrics.

AnthonyB.Jun 22, 2010Reviews thus far are way too low for this album. How this got lower reviews than Relapse is a mystery.

DannyMJun 22, 2010A great album. I've been waiting for an album like this since The Eminem Show.

DBrownJun 22, 2010Pitchfork, you really upset me this time. This is his best since the Marshall Mathers LP.

AndrewWhiteCJun 22, 2010I love this album. I'm glad that it went up seventeen points, because it definitely did not deserve a 44. The strongest points of the album are "Not Afraid" and "Won't Back Down". I also like many more. Good thing RS gave it a four star, that kinda saved it!

MikeLJun 22, 2010This is a pretty mediocre album. Em's lyrics are definitely there, but the production is pretty bad, and his singing voice gets annoying after a while. I'd say it's still better than relapse, but it does not even compare to the eminem show or the marshall mathers LP.

BhaveshMJun 23, 2010It is different from his other works, this album is new and refreshing, while still not at the pinnacle of his best work, this album is far better than his previous two, and there are some tracks where he spits hot fire.

BraidenMJun 23, 2010This is the problem with critic reviews on music they don't like. Ok so most ppl dont like "gratuitious nastiness", or so they want you to believe, but I think that without cursing and being himself I would turn it off. Clean is Eminem. 10. Hes back playable tracks throughout. Get some critics that actually listen to rap.

-
MarkNJun 23, 2010This album could be a classic. Eminem lyrically murders pretty much every song.

NestorSJun 24, 2010Amazing album...I seriously think the critics dont 'get' it and are expecting something they shouldn't plan on receiving. The lyrics in here are on par with the greatest of all time and this album deserves multiple listens.

RobMJun 24, 2010Recovery is Eminem's best album since The Eminem Show and is, in my opinion, his third best album so far (behind the Marshall Mathers LP and The Eminem Show respectfully). 90% of the material on this CD is absolutely brilliant and getting rid of the pointless skits was an inspired decision. Theres no more Steve Burman or Ken Keneff... thank god. An amazing album.

AlexM.Jun 24, 2010These critics are retarded...as of right now the critics are saying encore was better than recovery... they dont know dick.... Marshalll Mathers LP Slim Shady LP Eminem Show Recovery Relapse Encore.

BobB.Jun 24, 2010Great great album, Eminem is totally back to form. Lost the accent, lost the corny joke tracks, just pure fire.

AnonJun 25, 2010This is his best effort since The Eminem Show. The tracks "On Fire, WTP, Seduction, Untitled" leave something to be desired, but at a total of 17 tracks strong, there is a ton of quality music. Space Bound, Cinderella Man, Love the Way You Lie, You're Never Over are all pleasant surprises. The album lacks a goofy MTV hit song, which may hurt it

OkotieOJun 25, 2010He expressed his felt feelings, i particularly love No love, the way to lie, crazy about space bound.... the melancholic reality of talking 2 myself... its a pass 4 me.

KennyJ.Jun 25, 2010The album proves Eminem's back for real and registers as his third best album only behind "The Marshall Mathers LP" and "The Eminem Show".Screw the critics on this one, they definitely too deaf and can't tell how good the record is.

danielmJun 25, 2010Going to do my best. To never read another music critics review (starting today). I usally stay away from them. Because, most come across, like sheltered individuals with little to no real life experience. But, I love this album so much. Thought I would give them a chance. But, obviously they don't get it. Which is fine. But, why would you take so much time to rate an album it

Jan 7, 2011No matter how cleverly he's rhyming, which varies, he could use subject matter beyond married-to-the-game and his traditional obsessions. But with Shady in the shadows, rarely are these themes lifted by Em's long-recessive sense of play.
-
Much of Recovery centers around such themes as romantic devotion and anxiety, but the resulting material rings unsurprisingly hollow.
-
Sadly, a piecemeal approach to production (Dr Dre has just one credit) leaves the album lacking an abiding mood and drowning in fashionable soft-rock samples.
