TrentLJun 22, 2010This album is awesome; best album of the year so far and one of his best album I give this album a 9.5/10 . all the songs are awesome. some critics understand that this album is really good.

-
JaredY.Jun 22, 2010One of Em's best albums, definitely better than relapse. One of my personal all time favorites.
-
-
BlazeM.Jun 22, 2010Very good album. It's not often that 8 or so songs off one album make it to my ipod. There are some songs that don't capture my attention quite as well, but the overall experience is fairly strong due to: Going Through Changes, Seduction, Space Bound, Cinderella Man, 25 to Life, Almost Famous, Love the Way You Lie, and Untitled.

chada.Jun 22, 2010Great album Better hooks and more polished production and it would be a classic! A must have for any true Eminem fan Skillful metaphors and fierce wordplay culminate Eminem's best effort since 2002 A Must-buy.

-
SpencerG.Jun 22, 2010In his top 3 albums for sure. Also, it's the best album of the year hands down!

ThomasM.Jun 22, 2010This album is a masterpiece. Space bound, almost famous, and The near death experience of Going Through changes... That songs sends Chills down my spine. If that song doesn't Touch you then you have no soul. Please support This cd by buying it. Let him know that We, his fans know that he is back!

LukaszJun 23, 2010Better than Relapse and Encore but TSSLP, TMMLP, TES are still the best.
-
-
AlexP.Jun 23, 2010Not his best album, but considerably better than relaspe. His flows back, and beats are different but refreshing. Keep it up eminem.

AndrewT.Jun 23, 2010This album is so sick it going to be a number one seller for sure.

-
darrylt.Jun 23, 2010Great album eminem is back,he clearly put alot of heart into this album, most of them critics that have slated the album must be jealous of his comeback or maybe they cant get over all there own problems or addictions. haters i think there called.

-
RobbieO.Jun 23, 2010The Album is one of the best hes ever done. Hes finally gotten back to his roots and lost that accent that riddled Relapse.

-
Schmidty15Jun 24, 2010Big fan of Pitchfork.com but man...they blew it on their review. The only thing holding this album from being a true classic are EM's corney sing-songy choruses. Lyrically, I'm not sure if I've ever heard EM spit with so much conviction. Rejoice Slim Shady fans....he's back!

BrandonT.Jun 24, 2010Album is dope. Em keep killing them.

NejcJun 24, 2010It's just amazing how great album Recovery is after all the disappointments in the last 5 years. Although I really liked Relapse. This one is just on another level.

-
JamesS.Jun 25, 2010Great album...I'm sick of the funny, joking, waste of time Eminem has filled some albums with. This is real from top to bottom.
-
-
TommyKJun 25, 2010This album has shown why Eminem is on the level of the all time greats. His records evoke different emotions and with great variety. Unlike his last album "Relapse" this album isn't in a accent. This complements the subject matter of the raps. He mainly raps about his deceased best friend Proof from D12, his struggle with drugs, and his comeback to rap.
-
-
NoirlingJun 25, 2010I don't understand music critics, I suppose, because this album is excellent. There were at least 5 songs on it that I would deem hit worthy. The rest were 4 and 3 star quality. It's time to get off the HATE EMINEM bus, people. This stuff is touching and tight. Peep it.
-
-
ChaseBJun 22, 2010This is definitely a great album. Yes, it's true that his lyrics seem to stumble about in some places, but on the whole, it is a great record, and a grand return to form by THE master rapper.

MarcusEJun 22, 2010Solid album - far superior to relapse. Honest, introspective, creative, catchy and just plain fun.

-
JesusRJun 22, 2010Best album I've heard this year. Eminem has now become a trendsetter... He basically brought all different kinds of elements into this album, and if you're music fan and not necessarily an Eminem fan, you would really appreciate the hard work he's done for this album.. Highly recommended.

-
BrandonFJun 22, 2010Amazing Album. Check out Space Bound, Almost Famous, Going Through Changes, and Love the Way You Lie. Your mind will be blown.

-
NeT.Jun 22, 2010Love how the critics are smashing this amazing album... It's one of the best things I've ever heard. Eminem reestablishes his love for hip-hop and music. The tracks are fire. Screw the critics, if you're a true hip-hop/ Eminem fan this album does not disappoint. Either way, I know what's going to be in my CD player for months. Good night, radio.

AndrewWhiteCJun 22, 2010I love this album. I'm glad that it went up seventeen points, because it definitely did not deserve a 44. The strongest points of the album are "Not Afraid" and "Won't Back Down". I also like many more. Good thing RS gave it a four star, that kinda saved it!

-
BhaveshMJun 23, 2010It is different from his other works, this album is new and refreshing, while still not at the pinnacle of his best work, this album is far better than his previous two, and there are some tracks where he spits hot fire.
-
-
BraidenMJun 23, 2010This is the problem with critic reviews on music they don't like. Ok so most ppl dont like "gratuitious nastiness", or so they want you to believe, but I think that without cursing and being himself I would turn it off. Clean is Eminem. 10. Hes back playable tracks throughout. Get some critics that actually listen to rap.
-
-
MarkNJun 23, 2010This album could be a classic. Eminem lyrically murders pretty much every song.
-
-
NestorSJun 24, 2010Amazing album...I seriously think the critics dont 'get' it and are expecting something they shouldn't plan on receiving. The lyrics in here are on par with the greatest of all time and this album deserves multiple listens.
-
-
RobMJun 24, 2010Recovery is Eminem's best album since The Eminem Show and is, in my opinion, his third best album so far (behind the Marshall Mathers LP and The Eminem Show respectfully). 90% of the material on this CD is absolutely brilliant and getting rid of the pointless skits was an inspired decision. Theres no more Steve Burman or Ken Keneff... thank god. An amazing album.
-
-
AlexM.Jun 24, 2010These critics are retarded...as of right now the critics are saying encore was better than recovery... they dont know dick.... Marshalll Mathers LP Slim Shady LP Eminem Show Recovery Relapse Encore.
-
-
BobB.Jun 24, 2010Great great album, Eminem is totally back to form. Lost the accent, lost the corny joke tracks, just pure fire.
-
-
AnonJun 25, 2010This is his best effort since The Eminem Show. The tracks "On Fire, WTP, Seduction, Untitled" leave something to be desired, but at a total of 17 tracks strong, there is a ton of quality music. Space Bound, Cinderella Man, Love the Way You Lie, You're Never Over are all pleasant surprises. The album lacks a goofy MTV hit song, which may hurt it
-
-
OkotieOJun 25, 2010He expressed his felt feelings, i particularly love No love, the way to lie, crazy about space bound.... the melancholic reality of talking 2 myself... its a pass 4 me.
-
-
KennyJ.Jun 25, 2010The album proves Eminem's back for real and registers as his third best album only behind "The Marshall Mathers LP" and "The Eminem Show".Screw the critics on this one, they definitely too deaf and can't tell how good the record is.
-
-
danielmJun 25, 2010Going to do my best. To never read another music critics review (starting today). I usally stay away from them. Because, most come across, like sheltered individuals with little to no real life experience. But, I love this album so much. Thought I would give them a chance. But, obviously they don't get it. Which is fine. But, why would you take so much time to rate an album it

Aug 15, 2010this may not be the best eminem album but not the worst album yet.Any person can keep on listening 2 diss album continuosly without skipping a track not a great stuff but still its shady back again..
-
Aug 18, 2010Good but not great. Too much pop for my taste. Better than "Relapse", that's for sure. I'm glad that he is still making some good songs. Album certainly exceeded my expectations.

1-24-11 Recovery-Eminem Review
Eminem, now clean, once again shocks the music world with an outstanding album about his recovery from drug abuse. With his last album being named relapse, some thoughts might come to mind that â -

May 12, 2011eminem was more calm on this album. it was a good album. it deserved recognition at the grammys. it was decent. eminem proves he can sing and rap.
-
Jun 29, 2011"Recovery" is a very good album with several standout tracks: "Not Afraid", "Love The Way You Lie", "W.T.P" and more. Some of the other tracks, however, are simply boring.
-
Jun 11, 2011Hey, to everyone who says if we give this a good rating, we don't know the real slim shady, well yes i do, i have heard all his cds, i own all of them and i generally like them all (Relapse and Infinite are just ok though). He is the best rapper ever and i personally believe this is his best cd. It has nothing but good songs, it is amazing and shows just how great of a rapper he is
-
Aug 18, 2011this album is the best album ever. love the way you lie is the best track ever. this is eminem coming back to form. much more serious and emotional album. eminem proves that he is the king of hip hop after releasing this album. just love it.
-
Jun 23, 2011This ranks 5th in my list of best Eminem Albums right behind "The Marshall Mathers LP", "The Eminem Show", "Relapse" and "The Slim Shady LP." I'm not trying to knock it either because that's pretty elite company in my opinion.

Aug 31, 2011This album was an unspeakably huge improvement over Relapse with some of his deepest emotional moments and some tracks that I can't stop listening to (Space Bound & You're Never Over).
-
Aug 30, 2011I feel this album is overall a good album. Better than Encore and Relapse, but not like the first three. I don't like the idea of doing a song with Rihanna though. But still, a good album

Dec 22, 2011I enjoyed it. Recovery has some really good songs, and I think that the theme is way better than on Relapse. Even tough songs like ''You're Never Over'' feature great themes, Em isn't a singer, but when he raps like on ''Won't Back Down'' or ''Untitled'' it's freaking amazing.Kill'd it once again but he had better.
-

-
Nov 12, 2011One of my favorite albums to date, it was a much better follow up album after Relapse. I still listen to this album frequently even a year after its release.
-
Nov 16, 2011I really like Eminem's new songs, I don't understand why anyone would hate this album. All I see is people saying "What is this? I want the old Em back!". Listen, there never was old or new Eminem, there is only Eminem and his decisions. Every song on this album is worth listening, although there are a couple songs that get tiring already after listened to 5 times or so.
-
Nov 24, 2011Great album, haters cant hate that this dude is beyond anyones level. his lyrics are too good and just cuz he doesnt talk about beating women/drugs/homos doesnt mean he doesnt have talent, those who want to listen to that. which i still do, go listen to slim shady lp, marshall mathers lp (which is my fav album). recovery is still better than ENCORE...which was his worst.
-
Dec 10, 2011Why so bad reviews. Eminem brings a new and fresh really good taste to his rap music. Loved it. No Love, Not Afraid, Cinderalla Man, and Love the way you Lie are the highlights.
-
Jan 13, 2012A lot better then Relapse but I did not like how Eminem sold out on this album (Lil Wayne, Rihanna, and Pink...come on). Also it only had a few good songs, The rest was trash.
-
Oct 2, 2013Pretty good. Great time for all of the boys. I would listen all day, everyday. To be honest, I have a lot of fun with this album. I put it on late at night and dance around the living room without any worries in the world. Thank you Eminem! You are cutie pie!

Awards & Rankings
-
Jan 7, 2011No matter how cleverly he's rhyming, which varies, he could use subject matter beyond married-to-the-game and his traditional obsessions. But with Shady in the shadows, rarely are these themes lifted by Em's long-recessive sense of play.
-
Much of Recovery centers around such themes as romantic devotion and anxiety, but the resulting material rings unsurprisingly hollow.
-
Sadly, a piecemeal approach to production (Dr Dre has just one credit) leaves the album lacking an abiding mood and drowning in fashionable soft-rock samples.
