There's a naivety at play here, recalling Daniel Johnston, Vashti Bunyan and Syd Barrett. [Jul 2006, p.86]

not quite as good as hidden vagenda, but good enough. if you're looking for a dance beat or guitar solos, please, move along. but, if not quite as good as hidden vagenda, but good enough. if you're looking for a dance beat or guitar solos, please, move along. but, if you want insightful lyrics about human relationships (lovers, mothers, friends), this is a goldmine. she sometimes delivers her message playfully (ive got instructions tattooed on my ass saying dont you put this body in casket.) and sometimes with urgency (my war paint is a sharpie pen). some of this album will make you smile for minutes, some will hit you like a fist. like all kimya albums, raw and honest. i love you, too, kimya!
