All suggest that this band is in the process of remaking itself for a vital midlife. [Mar 2010, p.85]

Nineteen years later the band are in robust health, and Skins makes for an impressive, graceful addition to their catalogue.

Skins is the product of an older and wiser trio than Buffalo Tom were in their salad days, but it's unmistakably the same band, and if their attack and their concerns have changed a bit with the passage of time, that's a reflection of their innate honesty as much as anything else; they simply are who they are, and on Skins that means they're a gifted and grown-up rock & roll band.

I have to admit my bewilderment as to who gets these jobs to review music. I'm looking at these morons that gave this CD a 60 rating andI have to admit my bewilderment as to who gets these jobs to review music. I'm looking at these morons that gave this CD a 60 rating and think that in between their shallow existence and people telling them what new CD is great instead of them figuring it out for themselves that not only is music in the most dismal state ever but the reviewers should be dropped into the Marianas trench. This Buffalo Tom album is as good as anything they've put out in years. With all the mediocre music that is out there we're very fortunate to have a group of guys that still care about releasing a whole CD without any fillers. These guys just write great music.
