  1. The record has a powerful structure, too, building in intensity over its first half, then peaking with the explosively catchy title track before tailing off purposefully and settling into melancholy.
  2. The result is part retro, part avant-garde, and part polyrhythmic elevator music, which is to say it sounds wholly Dungen.
  3. To further the point, the album's 10 tracks total just 34 minutes, so listeners will snap out of the dream rather than disappear with it down a wormhole. But the blissful summery mood hangs around for ages. If you don't want summer to end, or you're a SAD sufferer, then consider Skit I Allt the best and cheapest antidote on the market.
  4. Skit I Alt is definitely something of a return to form, in its own relaxed way, and once the listener has spent a little time with it, every performance and section becomes that little bit more tantalising.
  5. It's to Ejstes credit that he's stayed his course, continuing to pull together nostalgic and post-millennial sounds instead of chasing a mass audience that he probably couldn't have kept anyway.
  6. 80
These adventuresome Swedes, led by instrumental virtuoso Gustav Ejstes, might be inspired by psychedelics, but they never leave anything to chemical-enhanced chance on their moody, lovely fourth album.
  7. Uncut
    80
This is their sixth album and inevitably some jazzy ostentation has crept in, but generally there's a warm, graceful fluidity to Skit I Allt's billowing jams that remains uniquely beguiling. [Oct 2010, p.94]

Dungen's sound is equal parts pastoral and wildly raucous. Skit I Allt digs deeper into these patchworks with an ear of layered precision that would make even J. Dilla proud.
  9. Skit I Allt reminds you to wipe your brow and lean back as the heroic guitar returns. Sing along, the hooks are so strong! But keep the headphones on lest you actually hear your own voice.

With Skit I Allt giving listeners the impression that they can easily make this sound last another decade without ever feeling stale
  11. They're clearly not aiming for a worldwide banker, but the seam they mine is creatively profitable and floridly engineered.
  12. The familiar ingredients are there, from superb buildups to instrumental pyrotechnics to Esjstes' buttery voice and a general insistence that points toward some bright and shining future.
  13. People who've appreciated the band's last three albums will find time for this once it has a chance to sink in, but it's not essential for people who got a charge out of Ta Det Lungt and passed on the rest.
  14. Skit I Allt is another commendably audacious example of Dungen's commitment and musicality. Yet for all their skill with both melody and with improvisation, Dungen risk ending up being too esoteric to be a pop band and too dreamy and light textured to excite committed psych listeners.
  15. Under The Radar
    50
Those fans who were turned on to the band through the aggressive sonics of Ta Det Lugnt might find the approach through most of Skit to be a bit confounding. [Fall 2010, p. 67]

A typically disorienting affair, Skik I Allt divides itself between pastoral, paisley-patterned '60s pop and, more troublingly, the toothless prog-rock of Hogdalstoppen and Blandband. [Oct 2010, p.107]
