I was originally drawn to the likes of "Venus", "Cherry Blossom Girl" and "Surfin On A Rocket", tracks which I feel are still amongst this outfits best work and have truly stood the test of time. The more I've listened to the album though the rest of it has come into its own and I better appreciate it as a whole piece. 10 tracks does the record a favour as it keeps it short and prevents it from dragging on too much. The ambient pop stuff works well in between the more structured tracks. It just sounds so fresh and different to most other records. Full Review »

Some incredibly magical tracks. Opener 'Venus' and closer 'Alone in Kyoto' are perfect. Not as good as Moon Safari. But Some incredibly magical tracks. Opener 'Venus' and closer 'Alone in Kyoto' are perfect. Not as good as Moon Safari. But still gorgeous. Full Review »

Talkie walkie contains no bad songs, and some, like cherry blossom girl and alone in kyoto match the best of 'moon safari' for pure beauty
