A Very Good Album. "Milkshake" was the hype, but what people didn't hear was the rest of this great album. Kelis's voice is enough to grab your atention, but combine that with hot beats and synths and you get a masterpiece. Key Tracks: "Milkshake" "In Public" "Marathon"

Kelis' music has always been tough to categorize. Something like Alternative urban might do. She's always kind of reminded me of Björk. 'Trick me' is the opening track and it's a delightful bouncy slightly reggae-tinged number. Very catchy. The innuendo laden 'Milkshake' (Grammy nominated top 3 hit) is also really catchy and reminiscent of Kelis' music has always been tough to categorize. Something like Alternative urban might do. She's always kind of reminded me of Björk. 'Trick me' is the opening track and it's a delightful bouncy slightly reggae-tinged number. Very catchy. The innuendo laden 'Milkshake' (Grammy nominated top 3 hit) is also really catchy and reminiscent of 'Nasty girl' by Vanity 6. Same goes for 'In public' which features Nas providing a slightly risque rap. Raphael 'Nusoul' Saadiq provides 3 classy numbers, 'Glow', 'Attention' which grabs your attention, and 'Marathon' which is one of my favorites, with ethereal vocals closing the song. 'Stick up' is fantastic, featuring ghostly whistling and humming. 'Sugar honey iced tea' is a fantastic breezy number from the Neptunes. This is a good cd which grabs you instantly, but gets even better the more you hear it. Never a dull moment. I hope with this, Kelis finally gets the recognition she deserves. Expand

Music is more fun when artists take risks. Kelis takes risks. Kelis is fun. She's also witty, righteous, soulful, and drop dead gorgeous. You'd be seriously missing out if you didnt get yourself a taste. Pun intended.

A fun, funky surprise from the MILKSHAKE girl! Their are plenty of songs to bounce to (Millionaire, Milkshake, #2) and others that are nice R&B flavored tracks. This is totally enjoyable album and hopefully not her last one!

This is an amazing album. It has some of the best R'nB/Hip Hop/Soul songs this century. Kelis has pushed the boundaries and created something that artists such as beyonce could only wish about. While beyonces album was good in its own right, when compared to what Kelis can do her music sounds weak and poor. A masterpiece.

While i haven't heard Kaliedescope or Wanderland I enjoyed Tasty very much. It's the first album from the Star Trak label that has a similar feel to NERD's In Search Of... Every track is enjoyable and just has that "man this feels good" kind of sound to it. Standout tracks are "Trick Me", "Milkshake", "Sugar Honey Iced Tea", "Protect My Heart", "In Public", and "Attention". While i haven't heard Kaliedescope or Wanderland I enjoyed Tasty very much. The album has it low points like "Millionaire" produced by Andre 3000, which I can't put my finger on why i dislike it other than about how silly it sounds. Overall a great CD and if you're a fan of the Neptunes, Kelis, and the Star Trak label then its an album you'll love. Not quite the achievement of In Search Of.. or even "Lord Willin'" but very enjoyable in it's own right. Expand

The dance moves collaborate with what Kelis is trying to accomplish in the video. It's Off The Chainz.

This album definately sets Kelis apart from the likes of Ashanti and other talentless souls that plague the industry. Kelis has made an honest album that is indeed tasty.

Great fun. The cuts: Trick Me, Milkshake, In Public, Millionaire, Glow and Marathon, are all standouts in an album that outshines the competition with intelligence and risk taking. Another all-out jam like Milkshake would have been nice though, and I can't say I like it more than Kaleidoscope. Still, Tasty's an outstanding, sexy album definitely worth checking out.

I ended up picking up this album very late, like about a month ago, but i'm so happy that i finally got it. I didn't know that Kelis had such a smooth quality to her work. There are so many tracks on here that i ended up loving instantly. This is a definite must to have i think.

Amazing album. I know Kelis is kind of a one hit wonder, with her song "Milkshake", but this album really started her career. One of my favorite songs just so happens to be on the album, and it's called "Trick Me".

Kelis é incrível e nunca decepciona. Com certeza um avanço dos seus CDs anteriores (Kaleidoscope e Wonderland). Tasty é inovador e mantém o estilo R&B/Soul de Kelis.

  1. After the patchy pleasures of 'Wanderland', 'Tasty' is a huge Roman orgy of an album.
  2. While Tasty features predictable envy-inspiring flaunts of sex and cash, the album is good-hearted, too.

It's a declaration of independence, and she pulls it off stunningly. [Jan 2004, p.105]
