With all of its paper-and skirt-chasing, The Last Rocket may not be a giant leap for mankind but it’s more than a small step for establishing Takeoff as something other than the Migo left off of “Bad and Boujee.”
  2. It may not bother the charts in quite the same way as ‘Slide’ did, but it’s more than enough to remind us that we should dismiss Takeoff, the solo artist, at our peril.

The takeaway from Takeoff is that good art is deliberate, enjoyable and actually takes effort. It's good to see he's capable of all these, can't wait to see what he gives us next.

With its brevity and risk-taking, The Last Rocket succeeds at illustrating Takeoff’s talents. Though there’s no outright banger and some filler, this solo album serves as a glimmer of hope for the longevity of Hip Hop’s current favorite trio.

The Last Rocket is the closest we’ve been yet to seeing one of the Migos with his mask off.

He hasn’t crafted the second coming of Deltron 3030 but a contemplative and diverse delight. We can only hope Offset’s impending solo debut is just as good.

Takeoff got some interesting bars. Not a masterpiece, but a good album.

Even if he does not change his style or voice, these few songs are fresh and hitting. The production is to be commended for its work, especially in 'Last Memory' and 'Casper' that it clearly saves from being flat and dull songs as Takeoff can succesfully make. We can also salute his idea to create a short album. Twelve tracks are just enough but not too much. It feels like the artist realized his voice and flow were so constant it could bring out boredom amongst listeners. The number of tracks helped me to enjoy 'The Last Rocket' and to consider it as good rather than awful. I just could not take any more repetition as in 'Lead the Wave'. I think other featurings than with Quavo and Dayytona Fox would have been a smart idea to vary the style and flow of this project. Plus I have heard enough of Quavo and Takeoff in their Migos project, i think it would have been a brilliant idea to invite other artists than those who already do rap in Takeoff style Expand

Takeoff actually managed to come up with a pretty decent and enjoyable album.

The last rocket manages to flow really well, with good and fresh productions, where the song changes are very subtle. Not expecting anything amazing lyrically, but he does manage to throw some clever and funny lines once in a while, but the album got the flows that give it the energy it needs

The songs are just long enough to enjoy and not to become to tiring or boring. Unfortunately the album does come with his low points, like the song I Remember that has the worst and most annoying chorus i've heard in a while, and the song Lead The wave that sounds like a generic Migos songs, but that that out, this album is still quite enjoyable.

It's safe to say that Takeoff exceeded my expectations, and people should really give this man more love than they give the other Migos members.

People saying that Takeoff is underrated and that he actually has a flow have obviously never listened to him. The album as I expected, really showed that. It was full of terrible ad-libs with monotone sounds. Not to mention the fact that even Quavo's unaccredited appearance didn't do anything to save it. To put it simply, The Last Rocket absolutely sucked. Expand
