    This is the follow up to his widely popular and best-selling Marshall Mathers LP and it lives up to the name. At first I was very unsure about this album but it slowly grew on me after a few listens. Right from the beginning the songs make it feel like this album is in fact a sequel unfortunately it isn't perfect but very few sequels are. The production value on a handful of songs are very poor and I feel like a lot of songs don't fit in the "Marshall Mathers" realm. The lyrical themes definitely fit the bill and are sure to anger your mothers again which is exactly what I would expect. He samples Billy Squier and Joe Walsh which I really enjoy and pays homage to the hip hop world to prove that Eminem is not some recovering junkie but a very creative individual. This album could have been better but it's still a good album which I will continue to listen to.… Expand

    Ok so eminem hasn't done a solid album in a very long time. Encore-Recovery was a string of mediocre albums and disappointments. I consider his first 3 albums, not including Infinite, to be modern classics. But I have been a big Shady fan since I was little. This album is a big improvement over recovery. However it suffers from some of the same problems that recovery did. Corny hooks andOk so eminem hasn't done a solid album in a very long time. On songs like Bad Guy, Rhyme or Reason, and Brainless, he shows that he is back and ready to go blow for blow with the best lyricists in the game today (Yes we're talking to you Kendrick) I definitely don't recommend buying it but I do recommend a listen. Hopefully he'll learn from his mistakes on this one and maybe he'll put out another classic next time.… Expand

    Where do you start with Eminem career... It has its ups and downs. Sure he's one of the best diss rappers out there but lacks direction on most of his tracks other than his emotional ones. Unfortunately when Eminem releases a poor album his army of fans will defend it to the end of the earth. Here's the thing. This album is good. It is nowhere near the best album of 2013, no matter howWhere do you start with Eminem career... It has its ups and downs. It is nowhere near the best album of 2013, no matter how much his fans say it is. This feels like what should have been an EP, because Eminem doesn't have a consistent and solid track list. The singles and the intro are the best part of the album. The rest ranges from sub par (for Eminem) to the deafeningly awful "Stronger than I Was". I know this is a new Eminem and this isn't gonna be SSLP Eminem, but I feel like this album, similar to Relapse, was rushed to shelves. All that said, this album is dope, flow wise. The beats, lyrics, and production... I just was not feeling it. This is his best work since TES, but I just expect more… Expand

    This is one of Eminem's finest albums. I really enjoyed his work on Rap God, Headlights, and Bad Guy. There are some songs that sound familiar but Eminem provides enough humor that makes you forget that. It doesn't feel or sound anything like the first MMLP album but that is a good thing since you can't recreate a classic.

At first I was like please don't be like the The Blueprint 2 but Em surprised me cuz the title actually made sense, the album actually was a sequel,it was not just giving the album a name cuz he was out of ideas or something.     Considering he's a 41 year old living legend it's very refreshing to hear him focus so much on his pen game. Bad Guy, Rhyme or Reason, Legacy, Rap God, Brainless, So Far, Love Game, Headlights, Evil Twin, Baby, Beautiful Pain, Groundhog Day, Wicked Ways are all standouts! Should of had the COD bonus "Don't Front" on there as it was a boom bap beat. Would love some features from other lyrical titans like Elzhi (from Detroit and criminally slept on), Pharoahe Monch (who he shouts out and had a lot of dope name drops not forced like Game), Masta Ace, Kool G Rap, Black Thought (Roots), Nas, Slaughterhouse, etc. Easily his best album since 2002 Eminem Show/8 mile timeline (granted his last 3 have been definition of hit and miss). In this album the infamous slim shady makes a reappearance and tears down songs with Eminem in songs such as ''Evil Twin''.     A masterpiece! Eminem at his best I just can't stop listening to it. Every song is awesome in its own way my favorite being headlights and berserk. Way better than recovery and encore imo. Fans of eminem would do well to pick up this album because Eminem is back and better than ever!

The only thing is that it's advertised as the sequel to The Marshall Mathers LP, one of the most controversial music albums in history, and I just do not see the same type of edgy lyrics that made the original so memorable on this one.     Update: I'll say after listening to this album on day one on iTunes, this album from Marshall Mathers is definitely a treasure for all those veteran fans and something new for recent fans who discovered him through the "Recovery" LP. This album is by far very creative in its instrumentals and quite lyrical in all the tracks, including the deluxe edition. But, there are flaws in this album and those flaws are the badly transitioned tracks which would of served better if there were skits like the "Parking Lot (Skit)" track to bridge between different tones, or themes. There is that occasional mismatch in the choruses in nearly every song on this album, and it must be taken as an experiment.… Expand

    this album is very misleading. Berzerk does not fit in this album whatsoever. This album is painful to listen through. Was hoping for a lot better. All i got was disappointment. Dont waste your money

    There is at least a million complex rhyme schemes in mmlp2...not to mention, the subject matter..rap mostly seems to be about proving u a re the sickest..and with songs like brainless, rap god and eminem tells us why he is the illest.mmlp2 rekindles my love for hip hop....

    This is great album and shows how Eminem has grown as person. He is not bashing his wife/mother doesn't mean it is not good hip-hop album. Lyrically this is one of the finest album. He also understands and addresses hate towards him in the songs like He shows his rap skills in "Rap god".
    Best storytelling in "Bad guy". other songs are also very great. Overall this is great album

    The album is a nice return to form, it's not so much a sequel as a return to the mindset used on MMLP1. With obvious nods to past albums, better beats than Recovery and Relapse, amazing rhyme structure, and a flow very reminiscent of The Eminem Show this is one of Eminem's best work. That's said, don't go in expecting it to be the first Marshall Mathers LP because it won't be.

    I Loved Every Second of this sequel to MMLP, I grew up with Eminem from his drug junky days to till his sober life, he indefinelty change greatly but in a great way, plus this album still has that same rage he expressed in his older issues...it basically blew me away and if Eminem doesn't get Artist of the year then I don't who will.....

Had to buy a clean version for when theLOVE this album! Em did not disappoint me in the least. I laughed, I cried, I reminisced.     From the songs from the album that were released before the album's release, it made me lower my expectations a lot for the album. But boy oh boy, when I listened to the full album, it was incredible. He is back to his roots, with a good mix of old school 'Slim Shady' and some really meaningful songs.     Wow. Incredible album.

    Knew it would be good but not this good. Em is really going back to his old ways but finds the balance between the old Slim Shady and the older Marshall Mathers. Still a cheeky a**hole though of course and that's what we want.

    This is mainly based off of the single "The Monster" but from this single I can tell that Eminem is back and he is back for blood. There is a reason why he is hailed as an amazing artist and a constant threat to all those opposing.

This album featured a lot of continuations from the first MMLP, and longtime fans will appreciate that. Almost every song is good, but quite a few of the songs are amazing. My personal favorites are Bad Guy, Legacy, Rap God, and Headlights. Each song has aAs an huge Eminem fan, I absolutely loved this album. Grandes canciones, buenos ritmos pero siento que falta eso original, eso que haga un rap distinto del otro, ese ritmo que te haga escuchar "Rap God" y luego escuches Berzerk" y te deje pegado y escuches esas canciones todo el día, pero no pasa. Son canciones buenas pero sólo para escucharlas un rato y sería.
    Eminem logra nuevamente resaltar gracias a sus colaboraciones,    Eminem volvió.     Eminem demuestra las grandes influencias de su primer disco en este, el MMLP2 su continuación. Buenas letras, ritmos nuevos sin mucha originalidad, grandes colaboraciones, pero sigo pensando que me falta ese Real Slim Shady, ese Not Afraid que sea un rap original y que pueda escuchar todo el día sin la ayuda de esa típica colaboración popera en el coro de la canción.

    Amazing. Once again eminem proves no rapper can compete with him. His flow,lyrics, and metaphors are top notch like always. The deluxe CD puts the cherry on top of this masterpiece. Best album of 2013. He is the G..O.A.T.

    Not as funny and offensive as some of his other albums but makes up for it by use of modern mixing and effects. Overall good lyrics and sound. This is good because Eminem has had many albums and this proves that he still has game.

This album is no different for me, with funny songs and lyrics, to sad songs about betrayal. Being a fan since I was 7 (The Eminem Show was just released). He has hit it big with no "WTF" songs like "Kim" in MMLP, or "Drips" inAs crazy as this sounds, Eminem is my hero, his music has helped me through slumps and downfalls in my life.     This album is just for real Eminem fans. If you compare to Marshall Mathers LP you wii say this is wack but is a very good album.
    Better album than Relapse and Recovery.

    This is another level of awesome achieved by Eminem. He proves again why he is considered one of the best. Complex rhyme schemes, a bit more mature a bit more wiser. Listen to both concurrently and you'll see the difference but also the similar tones. He's still atop of his game here.

    This is the return of Eminem. If you didn't like him before or doubted his prowess, give this album a listen. After the singles we were given left me rather unimpressed, I had low expectations. My doubts were gone in just a few minutes of the first track. I think Bad Guy is the best song he's ever written apart from Stan. The second half of the song gave me chills.

    While the production and the beats sometimes fall a bit flat, his skill is unmistakable. The genres blended into some of the tracks play on a bit of familiarity. I'm not particularly keen on some of them (Kid Rock...), but experimenting is most usually a plus. There's a lot more to be said and I could break down the album per song, but I won't.    … Expand

    Long time Eminem fan here. I was in the 10th grade when his 1st studio album dropped and I've been following him ever since. I have to admit that on my 1st playthrough of the album I was mildly disappointed because I wasn't expecting the album to sound so unique. Eminem is a "rappers rapper" on this album... he goes absolutely ballistic with his rhyme structures and use of syllables. ILong time Eminem fan here. I was in the 10th grade when his 1st studio album dropped and I've been following him ever since. I have to admit that on my 1st playthrough of the album I was mildly disappointed because I wasn't expecting the album to sound so unique. Eminem is a "rappers rapper" on this album... he goes absolutely ballistic with his rhyme structures and use of syllables. I know a lot of people won't like this album simply because of how different it is, but personally I love this album and feel like Eminem really did take it to the next level.… Expand

    Loved this album! Just superb! Bad Guy is amazing , Headlights is one of the best songs i've ever heard by Em. However , my favorite song from this album is Beautiful Pain. :D

    Great album! I love how he can slow it down on some songs, and be intensely violent and ferocious on other. It is completely fair to give this one a 10/10. The real Slim Shady is back!

    awesome album i've been listening to this track all day for last 2 days Eminem Rap God, i don't really follow the mainstream news so i was really surprised when i heard about his album, i don't think it will ever be as good as the 2000-2004 songs but for what we're getting this days in terms of music, this album is 20/10

    Soo much nostalgia...this is a treat for those who grew up listening to eminem in the early 2000s when we were introduced to this white boys angry rhymes. There are a lot of references to his old hits heck some songs sound like the beats from his LP album...which were IMHO, eminems best. Great album!

    I wasn't sure at first, but it's grown on me with every listen! Production is slightly disappointing but much better than Relapse and Recovery, lyrics are as always brilliant. This really is the perfect last album if it is to be his last.

    his flow has grown tenfold it seriously blows my mind. If recovery got album of the year this deserves rap album of the decade. i would say favorite song so at the moment is Groundhogs Day but it changes every week :D please buy this album.. don't pirate it he really deserves it you can tell he put his soul into this one.

    Finally, Eminem is back. This is the album that tells the rap industry to step the hell up. Em found his clarity somewhere along the line and is setting the bar as high as he set it in 2000 with the original MMLP. There hasn't been a rap album like this in years.

    This is great album and shows how Eminem has grown as person. He is not bashing his wife/mother doesn't mean it is not good hip-hop album. Lyrically this is one of the finest album. He also understands and addresses hate towards him in the songs like He shows his rap skills in "Rap god".
    Best storytelling in "Bad guy". other songs are also very great. Overall this is great album

Still inferior to "the eminem show". coz eminem show was a real dope masterpiece. i know many of you will disagree, mmlp2 is so calssy. if we left the "monster" track and COD one,,, then mmlp 2 is easily one of eminem's all time greatest work. so energetic nd filled with pride.

He once again demonstrates that he is easily the the best lyrical wordsmith in the game, incredible power, flow, speed and the thing that separates him from the majority.... versatile. they are yet to find a rhythm or beat em cant smash! and not only versatile in his flow but the album has a perfect balance of tones. heavy flow and beat orientated tracks, to catchy and quite commercial (in a good way) tracks all the way down to deeply emotionally rooted songs in which even more of eminems soul is poured in with beautiful melodies. along with plenty of the wacky, funny, quirky, brash, rude, dirty, repulsive, insane, vulgure and violent, fire Marshall/slim shady we've grown to love in there too. and to top it all off plenty of re visitations, new perspectives and developments on old works and story lines. full of brilliant throwbacks :)
    I cant recommend this album enough.     The album is classic, it's way better then Recovery. This is Eminem in his entirety, the flow is sick and the lyrics are just great, sensitivity and psychopaths at the same time with the touch of the street language. The beats are great, the rap rock and the piano especially, but he was should features more rappers than pop singers. One of the best rap albums ever. My rank is 9.5/10.

    As an Eminem fan since the beginning I can without doubt say this is one of the best album Eminem has done. I've listened through this album over 20 times now and i'm not nearly bored. I'm liking it more and more, and its a delight.
    For those kids who says this album is bad, go back to listening to Lil-wayne and Drake.

    Eminem is indeed a Rap God.

    I have been a die hard Eminem fan since 2002 and I can say that I am not disappointed by this album. MMLP2 is full of brilliance and nobody can deny that. The words-on-play, the flow and the production is great! I love the fact that we got a sequel to Stan as well, I do like the song Stan but Bad Guy brings it to a new level.     The MMLP2 is absolutely brilliant. It definitely lives up to the hype and the legacy of LP. Berzerk, Survival and Rap god are the new masterpieces and the rest of the songs do not disappoint and are perfectly showing the original Slim Shady's style. Cannot wait for the next album, it seems Eminem has still got it.

    Eminem has certainly nailed with a mighty comeback with this album. Each of the songs is a masterpiece on its own especially Bad Guy, So much Better, Rap God and Headlights, of course for which Nate Ruess has lent his voice. Putting it more precisely, this album is just Awesomeness Personified. Period.

    This album reminds me a lot of the first MMLP. He ends his issues with his mom,includes a sort of sequel to Stan and shows that he can still rap as great as he could when the original LP was released.

It was heartbreaking to hear relapse and recovery, they were terrible in my opinion, I bought the marshall mathers Lp 2 as a final test to see if Eminem had lost his touch. I was blown away, My opinion was reformed when relapse and recovery came out, I hated them, and it made me believe Em had lost his talent. Bad Guy in my opinion is the best opening song i have ever heard on any album. His flow is DOPE, no one in the industry can come close to it. 6000+ words in 6 minutes and he wrote in 6 minutes too.     "A**hole" I thought this was a humorous track and enjoyed it (really liked the reference to "My name is")
    "Berzerk" Uses a Beastie Boy party beat and I liked it, it mixes things up.
    "Rap God" A insane free style like song proving how good of a lyricist and flow master Em is.
    "Brainless" A decent song, I enjoyed it.
    "Stronger Than I Was" Did not care for this track.
    "The Monster" As I said I never liked the Rhianna collaboration in the first place, and The Monster does not change my mind. But if you like "Love the Way You Lie" you will enjoy this.
    "So Far" I LOVE this song, it's got awesome samples from "My Name is", "Life's Been Good" by Joe Walsh, and Aerosmith. I ended up liking this song way more than I thought I would.
    "Love Game" A good collaboration with Kendrick, it's a decent track.
    "Headlights" A must hear for old time fans as it is a apology to his mother for all these years, a decent track. I feel F.U.N isn't the best choice to perform with Eminem.
    "Evil Twin" A Great track and a heck of a way to end it. I recommend picking it up.
    I will give a rating for the Deluxe and regular. For the regular album each song is worth 0.75 (Rap God, So Far, and Bad Guy get a whole point from me since I was so impressed) And deluxe each song is worth .50 (since there are 5 bonus tracks) I enjoyed all 5 bonus tracks, but the only one that really blew me away was
    "Desperation", I was shocked how well Em worked with Country.
