Nov 12, 2013QUEEN OF RAPPPPPPPPP! Her rap flow was VICIOUS! and Lyricism was PERFECT. Kim Expressed so much and you felt what she was feeling. Literally she did no wrong in the album. Beyond under-appreciated. Just one of the many things that makes her the reigning queen of hip-hop and rap. No-one can take that away from her!

AndersonOct 30, 2005The critics who reviewed this album and didn't care for it must be idiots. Whether she sampled other artist's flow she still did most of the tracks justice. Which they fail to mention. Lyrically the album is up to par. The only problem is maybe 2 or 3 tracks and the excessive skits. This album is superior to Hardcore and Naked Truth is her most solid work.

StevePDec 13, 2005I'll admit I'm slightly chauvinistic when it comes to rappers, but Lil Kim came through on this one. It's a really solid album. She switches up her flow repeatedly, which is a little jarring, but you cannot hate on the lyrics and the production.

AnglaBOct 25, 2005The album is great. I bought one for my car and one for the house and I plan to give it as stocking stuffers. The album shows growth and maturity, no one complained when madanna sampled different styles and looks. I loved the album

Aug 16, 2013The best Lil' Kim album. With rap songs like "Shut Up" and "Listen Up", how isn't it? Lil' Kim will always be one of the top female rappers. Great work, Kim.
-
Nov 12, 2013Some of her most raw music, She adresses so many situations she went through during this period, She Flawlessly executes the persona of a bad from bedstuy brooklyn. This album without a doubt is some of her best work. Effortlessly give the queen bee 10/10! Such a flawless album.

Nov 3, 2017Lil' Kim provou ser uma das melhores rappers. Na minha opínião, ela só perde pra MIssy Elliott, que sem dúvidas é a rainha. "The Naked Truth" é uma prova do quanto Lil' Kim é boa.

Nov 23, 2017The Queen of Rap! In the edge of going to jail, Lil' Kim return with an incredible album, including the hit single and Brooklyn's anthem "Lighters Up". Even if it was a failure on sales, "The Naked Truth" shows ripening on the rapper's rhymes - even though she don't need.

This album is as fake as Kim’s physique, as vapid as the fashion she flaunts, as undeservedly praised as her entire career.
-
Though hardly in the running for rap album of the year, there's plenty to recommend "The Naked Truth". Yet equally, there's an abundance of wearing phone skits, phoned-in guest performances and shameless fillers to get in the way.

Entertainment WeeklyHer very-real-life drama has inspired some of her most focused work... and also some of her worst. [21 Oct 2005, p.75]
