    Although the loud tracks are the most immediate, the subtleties of later numbers like "Reptiles" prove nearly as rewarding,; don't even think of stopping play before "Gunman" shows what these pros do with a dance number.

    Actually, closer to the truth is that it sounds like a QOTSA record with the kind of solid rhythm-section money couldn't buy. And if that's the case then this is the best QOTSA record since 2002's "Songs For The Deaf".

    This album is simply one of the best albums from all the contributing parties. It's a great experiment they made, with no one to impress after unanimous success, they still impress anyway. Mark of a truly amazing band. Other bands should take note.… Expand

    Now this is what I call, You have joshua Hommes from Queens of the Stone Age on vocals and Guitar,John Paul Jones from Led Zepplin on bass and you have Dave )"I've been in a Legendary band TWICE!") Grohl poinding away on drums. This album shreds and shreds hard. Every track has a killer riff, a sick beat and and epic lyrics sang by one of the most smoothest voices in Rock! If can find an album that rocks harder than this then you're some sort of God. Till then we have this masterpiece.… Collapse

    It's no match for a good blaster at your side, but it's good. The first track is epic, the second and third are good and after that, it blends together although it remains solid. Caligulove and Reptiles are the exception to that and deserve respect for their originality.… Expand

    The super group "Them Crooked Vultures" looks good on paper... The disc itself though blends together to create nothing. It all sounds the same, and leaves much to be desired on all fronts. Maybe it was the less then deserved hype from the media or the band that made this disc seem so mediocre.… Expand
