EvanKOct 9, 2004This album is the best System of a down has ever put forth, Forest is my favorite, but Toxicity, Arials, and Chopsuey are up there too.

LukeBAug 31, 2004this is one song you never get tired of hearing it over and over
-
-
DanielMAug 30, 2004I picked this album up about a week after it's release, all because of only listening to "Chop Suey" once, and after I popped it into my CD player, it didn't leave for weeks, this album can be summed up in one word, Beutiful.

-
NathanSAug 27, 2004Toxicity best song everr!
-
-
JohnRAug 24, 2004This is a really good album, but I didn't quite follow what they were talking about in that song 'Jet Pilot' I like nearly every song on here but they could be a little more direct with some of their messages. -Peace/Rock Out!
-
-
VakilyZJul 27, 2004This album blows!! Anyone who takes this band seriously should be shot and flayed!! Rage Against the Machine will always be better than this crap!!
-
-
TomMJul 26, 2004This album kicks ass!!! Brilliant acoustics, transitions, and rhythms track after track.
-
-
AndrewM.Jul 13, 2004My favorite bands are probably Radiohead and Modest Mouse, but System of a Down is really something different. I really really like this cd. It is very chaotic and unrestrained by boundaries that hold other albums (such as following a predictable music pattern)

BrettCMay 27, 2004this album is nothin but head banging awesomeness
-
-
allieBMay 24, 2004umm i'm not quite sure wat's wrong with the people at "Uncut" but unless you're really close minded and have no general taste in music SOAD kicks ass. and so does this album. enough said.

-
RyanRAug 25, 2003Great album. Haven't listend to Steal This Album or the original but this got me hooked. My complaints are that some of the songs seem to have no point (like Pogo). And others are done and over with so fast I could cry. I know, quick review but, rants aside, this is a kick ass album.

-
DaveCJul 27, 2003Has the world gone mad? System Of A Down at their very best are mediocre and most of the time juvenile and even childish. Do yourself a favour and listen to Metallica or Tool instead.

PulahkCNov 9, 2002SYSTEM OF A DOWN is no doubt one of the best bands ever. All the songs on the album have great instrumentals and brilliant messages! God bless these Armenians! P.S.: "aomb.k", you brain-dead goof, this is a site aboutSystem Of A Down, not Tool or Dream Theater!

-
-
AlinaB.Aug 23, 2002This album is the best that I've ever heard in my life. I could listen to it ten times a day and never get bored with it.
-
-
JohnCJul 23, 2002No other album can touch this other than maybe Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets by Metallica. Toxicity incorporates metal, high tempos, intensity, creativity, and well written guitar and drum rifts like no other
-
-
TJWilliamsJul 17, 2002A good album, no doubt, but nowhere near the energy of their self-titled debut. The uncut review, however, is simply absurd. They lost a bit of edge in Toxicity and traded it for melody. Either way, they do more with metal than any other band out there. The Dead Kennedys of Metal...
-
-
DrGlockJul 15, 2002System of a Down has re-inspired my passion for fast, angry, aggressive heart pounding metal. Combining skate punk, thrash, ska, and metal to a unique and individual sound, this is easily my #1 album of 2002!
-
-
NyssaLJun 6, 2002oh my god, i love this cd. it totally blows my mind. beyond any belief, this is probably 1 of my fave cds of all time

AerialsMar 3, 2002Another one of the best albums I have ever owned. They must make another CD
-
-
JeffG.Mar 1, 2002The best album I have heard in 10 years (Pearl Jam, Ten). This music certainly psyches you up on your way to work. Complete brilliance. The dynamics are close to matching Metlallica's "Master of Puppets".

-
KevinP.Feb 5, 2002This is best metal album i've ever stumbled over! It has some of the war at heavy metal style to it, but it's better because of the way they use there softer melodies. I wasn't going to buy it until I heard it when a person put it on in my school weight lifting gym, and now I cant stop listning to it!

ChrisP.Dec 9, 2001I was seduced by the amazing dynamics of Chop Suey! and decided to take a chance on this album which I knew would probably be the heaviest thing in my CD collection by far. I can't say I love it, but I still like it.
-
-
IanNov 29, 2001Points the finger at referential critics and laughs as they struggle to categorise it. Nonsense buzz phrases of "prog rock" and "time changes" need to be thrown away and just listen to the damn thing. Done? Clearer? Correct, it rocks both body and brain, and that's all you need to know.
-
-
OllyH.Nov 18, 2001Amazing, so diverse. SOAD songs can jump from one place to another in an instant. Amazing melodies with the same "craziness" of the first album - best album yet of the 21st century.
-
-
NotDavidAnNov 12, 2001SOAD is the poster child for the "nu-metal is not all bad" agruement. Rarely does a band come along that breaks all the rules so wonderfully.
-
-
TimL.Nov 11, 2001I love the SOAD

-
AnnaH.Nov 11, 2001I love SOAD. Serj's lyrics are so original and his voice is wonderful.

AdamB.Nov 7, 2001SOAD is a great rock band that still doesn't take them selves to seriously even with all their success.

MirandaA.Nov 5, 2001Its crazy, just like it should be. Damned awesome.
-
-
DarwinL.Oct 21, 2001system of a down has gone to another level with their music while still having the addicting sounds that made the first album great.
-
-
JamesR.Oct 16, 2001impossible to classify. they have come a long way since their first recording. The melodies have an almost comical feel, while touching on the gravest of issues. intense and brilliant
-
-
StewartB.Oct 16, 2001the most original sound from a metal act that i have ever heard, it blew me away. it doesn't get any better than this

Awards & Rankings
-
When System's at their best, the Los Angeles four-piece evokes most vividly punk politicos the Dead Kennedys.... Yet the band sputters out when the lyrics are awash in vagueness.
-
UncutToxicity is virtually unlistenable: thrash metal splintered into a million pieces by unnecessary time changes, topped off with excruciatingly theatrical vocals. [Dec 2001, p.118]
-
Cast in layers upon layers of aural intricacy, Toxicity charters new frontiers, yet it’s still grinding rock at its most deafening.
