Too much reverb on her voice, and everything sounds the same.
Perfect for filling your livingroom, quiet evening, glass of wine or tea. Creates nice atmosphere. Emotional.
If you focus on details, there's almost nothing interesting. Just let it flow.
    Slightly mixed feelings.
In it's own way its good, but trying to be objective 6.5/10

The bona-fide future-classic ‘Oh Woman Oh Man’, the soft-focused but laser-guided balladry of ‘Hell To The Liars’ and ‘Rooting For You’, and the title track are as good as anything on their debut--and in ‘Non Believer’, they may well have written their finest song yet.

If there's any downside, it's that their sophomore album doesn't do anything to distinguish itself from its predecessor. But you know what? When you write songs that are just as strong as your past work, evolution is less of a necessity. If it's not broken, don't fix it.

While it's an overall relaxing experience, Truth Is a Beautiful Thing is never boring; it's a comforting and often heartbreaking listen that really gets under the skin, especially with Reid's emotive delivery.
