    I decided to make an account and review because I saw how low critics scored this album, which confuses me because this was not bad at all. I’m glad I found this album. It’s made me happier today, and a few songs are even going in my playlist. Some stand out songs are Always You, We Made It and Only The Brave. Always You reminded me a little of obscure pop artists, like MIKA, who sing pure pop songs but are not played on American radio. We Made It had great lyrics and a really funky rhythm, which kind of reminded me a little of spoken word poetry. Only The Brave was a standout because it was a really strong ending to the album.     This album is incredible. The whole composition of it, since the lyrics to his voice and the instruments, it was very well built and you can see he put a lot of effort to make a good album.

    listen, as a life long fan i didn’t expect the album to blow me away as much as it did, if i could pick one phrase to describe this album it’d be that there is strength in vulnerability.

    love this !! I didn't even know a louis tomlinson existed till some hours ago and I'm really glad I found out this amazing artist. this album is a masterpiece, got no skips at all !! highly recommended

    I just found out about this guy recently and decided to check his album out and it turns out so great! He is so incredibly humble and nice. I really connect with his songs, his lyrics and his music, all of them seems so personal and raw. I really felt that connection between me and his songs which is amazing I would say. I will continue to support this guy definitely. Keep going Louis!

    It has been a long time since I've seen such an emotional album. Every single songs it adds a bit more story to it, it seems real, it seems personal. Only The Brave and Fearless are undeniable masterpieces. What an amazing first debut album, can't wait to see what this fabulous singer as in store for us

    Honestly not normally my type of music but this lad gets across so much emotion in his lyrics, you can tell he really means what he's singing which you don't find loads of anymore.

    the album is great, louis makes me feel part of it and that's beautiful. I feel a special connection with "Two of Us" because I have gone through a family situation, it makes me feel that I am not alone. My favorite song is "Only the brave" is the one that lasts the least time but it made me feel many things, this album is only for the brave. Louis is brave. thanks x

    Not even one song I'd want to hear again. Too much autotune, juvenile lyrics, and Oasis imitation. And he had 28 people help him write this album? Perfect Now, Walls, and Only the Brave are the worst of them. Dreadful.

    Beautiful, heartfelt album. You can tell there is real emotion in the lyrics and his voice through the entire album. It’s an album that stands on its own and isn’t like every other album. Really amazing. Great album.

    Amazingly talented Louis Tomlinson releases his debut album Walls with 12 tracks out of which are 5 previously released singles. Lyrics and composition are above par and give a nostalgic feel to this Britpop inspired album. Worth the wait of 4 years for all music lovers.

    This is definitely one of the best albums I've heard in a long time. Louis is sticking to his roots and bringing back the sound of indie pop that has a nostalgic feel to it that you just cannot resist. The lyrics are so well written and tell such great stories both in each individual song and the album as a while. This is an album with zero skips and I think everyone should listen to it.

Habit is one that really stayed with me, and the title track is subtle and powerful.     Louis’ sound changed so much from when he was in One Direction, and I mean that in the best way possible.     Defenceless is one of my favorites, it shows so much of his vulnerable side as someone who is deeply in love and just want to be loved back. Coming from someone who has never been a huge One Direction or Louis Tomlinson fan, I am rather impressed. 'Always You' has a very catchy chorus that has been stuck in my head for a day and the single, 'Walls' consists of a nice melody and a great level of production.Louis Tomlinson demonstrates a good level of maturity and growth in terms of his sound throughout his debut album.     However, I had somewhat of a 'meh' moment while listening to 'Perfect Now', which has a positive message that applies to many of Tomlinson's fanbase, it simply was not for me.
    A notable element of Louis' music is that his voice is quite distinct, in a very positive manner - his timbre is extremely pleasant.
    Overall, I recommend the album to anyone who has a taste for the realm of alternative-rock-pop!

    Every song in the album is a lyric masterpiece, he has such a way with words! Songs like Two of Us hit very close to home, they make you very emotional. He did a great job with his debut album, it shows a real honesty in his words, you can tell it's from personal experience. I'm sure it will be on my top 5 of 2020 already

    its a really good album. i wont give a ten just cause louis still seem a little lost about what path to really go in his carrer but its okay cause its his first album i guess, its just that some songs kinda break the indie vibe he was trying to go for most of the album. still a very good one, it shows how the dudes super talented. i look forward to his next album as well

You can feel the mix of emotions that he felt during the process of the album. In two of us he express his pain, however it contains also a positive message; always you has a different vibe that impressed me and it is perfect for live shows that will make the crowd sing as loud as they can while he shows his regreat for letting “the one” go. Louis proved (once again) that he is one of the best writters of this generation giving us lyrics like “It is a church of burn romances and I am too far gone to pray” and “looked you in the eyes, saw that I was lost/ For every question why, you were my because”. In addiction, his voice is so good and he has total control over it what makes possible amazing vocals as in defenceless, fearless and walls.

    Louis is an incredible artist, his lyrics are so honest and beautiful. Definitely one of the most humble artists in the industry. Defenceless and Always You are the best ones! Congrats Louis, for making an amazing and honest album! Can't wait to listen to more music from him!

    An amazing debut album by Louis Tomlinson with wonderful musical arrangements, great singing voice that carries the emotion of the songs, and heartfelt, gorgeous lyrics. I also really enjoyed the well-balanced variety in styles and mix of upbeat and slower songs - you can tell, he is finding his own sound and place in the industry.

    Really loved Walls, it’s a beautiful album.The production is great and songs like “defenseless” and “walls” have the perfect arrangement. “Always you” I just can imagine playing in every pop radio station. But my favorite of all then is “Only the brave”, whose only problem is that it finishes too soon. My less favorite is “perfect now”, too cliche for my liking.     this album is a masterpiece, we've been waiting for 4 years to have it and it was worth it, very strong lyrics, a very cohesive album and it captures the essence of the artist
    it also has so many bops and literally 0 skips just overall a 10/10 and it deserves better

    Walls is an album without skip. There is no song you don't want to listen to. Louis has been lookimg for his own vibe and he finally did it. While listening the album you can find on it a mix betweet the early 2000's pop with a lot of indie vibes making every song very special since we haven't heard material like this since so long.     This album surprised me a lot. Since the influence of the 90s, his indie rhythm and the sweet voice of this boy. He's a very good interpreter and songwriter, I hope he continues like this.

    I just want to say that the album is BEAUTIFUL! Louis has delivered an honest, lyrically rich and vocally GORGEOUS debut album; and I can’t believe we were deprived of hearing his voice in One Direction. SO PROUD OF HIM. Here are my top 5!

    Louis did that with his first proyect as solo artist, all songs are amazing, in love with fearless, habit only the brave... 4 years waiting for this album and he didn't dissapoint us !

The album in general is very cohesive and exciting, there are songs like walls that you can feel the impact behind everything and it is what I usually expect on an album. Tomlinson did a great job with the sound of Fearless and the composition of Perfect Now. In general the compositions are quite mature and the melody is different from what you usually hear today, making the album a memorable highlight… Expand

    Try as he may, Tomlinson has not quite progressed from featured voice to solo artist. For all the major changes in his life, his music seems to be stuck in place. You can take the boy out of the boyband, but not the boyband out of the boy.

    Even if the songs on Walls aren't the most distinct or memorable, they come from a place of authenticity that's genuinely heartwarming and enjoyable. Like any other settled adult, he's perfectly content to stick to the reliable and Walls winds up being the most mature and natural of the ex-1D bunch.
