    Honestly, I'm very surprised with Walls! I didn't really know what to expect from this album, coming from a person like louis, that has been fighting with the industry for so long to finally find his genre, since he was pacing between the pop, eletro-pop, pop-punk, to indie-pop. The songs are so well aligned with his story of life, everything that he has been through all of this time areHonestly, I'm very surprised with Walls! The way Louis empowers people on his songs is amazing, even when he sings about his darkest feelings - in two of us - we can see him saying that there's a light and there's hope. The title of the album fits very well with his narrative. A long story full of ups and downs; And it feels like now, he finally broke those walls that were confronting him of being who he really is!… Expand

    My favorite album right now! Loving that he used real instruments. The combination of beautiful lyrics and catchy melodies is done perfectly. I think he's done good job with his debut album.

    Even tho he hadn't found his own sound when the writing process for Walls started, Tomlinson was able to show his style to the fans and present to the world the kind of music he wants to do. Being inspired by a lot of British Pop, I think it's safe to say that in his next songs will sound a lot like Kill My Mind and Walls. Two of Us is one of the most memorable tracks on the album - beingEven tho he hadn't found his own sound when the writing process for Walls started, Tomlinson was able to show his style to the fans and present to the world the kind of music he wants to do. Being inspired by a lot of British Pop, I think it's safe to say that in his next songs will sound a lot like Kill My Mind and Walls. Two of Us is one of the most memorable tracks on the album - being written by Louis after he mom passed away. It has the right amount of grief and hope, probably one of the best songs on Walls. Don't Let it Break Your Heart and Walls are two of the fan favorites and rightfully so. Joined by Defenceless, these three show us the Tomlinson isn't afraid of being vulnerable and I think it's amazing to see a grown up man so comfortable with his emotions and vulnerability.. Too Young has an amazing guitar work and the right touch of sadness and nostalgia, where Louis talks about finding true love and making mistakes but realizing that there was still chance for him and 'the . Habit is also a break up where he realizes that he can't stop loving that person. That realization gets even stronger in Always You, when Tomlinson sings about traveling the world and still not being able to forget about that person, instead, after going from place to place, he realizes that it has always been that person. Perfect Now resembles to Little Things by One Direction - but less catchy and more emotional. It could've been written for his sisters or even his fans, so it might also become a fan favorite. Defenceless' deep lyrics might be hidden by the upbeat sound, but it's still there. Fearless has a nostalgic sound, as Tomlinson is facing the changes in his life since he's not a teen anymore. Only the Brave is the only song that wasn't written by him and it's also the shortest. The song has a very meaningful lyrics and the only bad thing about it it's the duration. Kill My Mind is the the 'happiest' song on the album.. From track 2 to 12, all the songs are sad - even the ones that are hopeful. Kill My Mind is the song to listen to while dancing and singing your lungs out… Expand

    The whole album is amazing and i feel the emotion in every song. The lyrics are so beautiful and I can't stop listening the album, mostly defenceless and fearless. Louis definitely did a GREAT job.

    It’s incredible to see and listen in how Louis turn strong feelings in powerful songs. You don’t need to be a fan of him to understand that, all of this was created to become what we have now, a long long time waiting, ups and downs... Walls is a bang.

    Surprisingly amazing album.The lyrics are simply mind blowing and memorable especially those of two of us, defenceless, habit,walls and only the brave. He has improved in terms of vocals quite alot from his 1d days. Dont know why the critics reviews arent this good

I was truly surprised to hear Louis in all his glory, after only hearing bits and (small) pieces of him in some one direction songs. But this album brings to the fore his amazing voice, some truly authentic lyrics and great melodies. Especially if you like theDon't go by the critics reviews, this album is surprisingly good!     This album exceeded the expectations. Tomlinson's shining lyrical style shows that he played a pivotal role in writing most of the one direction hits (he's got the highest writing credits). His vocals bring out every emotion perfectly. The album is pure, raw and honest.

    Amazing album. You can feel the emotion through the songs while he’s signing, going from love to sadness to hope. If I could pick a favourite it could be Fearless, Walls and Only The Brave, but overall is an incredible album in general.

    I am really surprised by this album! I didn't know Louis Tomlinson before, but I can see how sincere and full of history and true emotions the lyrics are. The beats are different from song to song and this makes the album pleasant to listen to and not tiring. Definitely entered my list of favorite albums.

    Didn’t think a past 1D member would release an album like this. Looks like he is mixing up pop and oasis kind of vibe which i loved very much. Walls and Only The Brave won me over.

    Louis' first album, literally surprised me in all the compositions and its seronity all cohesive. It was to be expected more since one of the best tracks ever released does not appear on the album, as it left something to be desired and gave his work a little over the median. There are tracks that captivate me a lot!

    Lad has the PEN. he can write. his lyrics has a depth to them, the realest artist you'll see out there, he's not afraid to show his emotional/vulnerable side and his lyrics are genuine. Most of all I love his voice, he has a very soothing/rarest voice out there which can convey the emotions and tug at your heartstrings just right, definitely worth a listen.

The blatant copying of Oasis is obnoxious and there are at least 4 songs that sound like Ed Sheeran album tracks. His songwriting is banal and basic. Most songs ( especially the non single tunes ) lack depth and humanity. This whole record soundsTomlinson has spent last 4 years creating... this.     Walls is a fantastic body of work. Louis has clearly shown is versatility through songs like ‘Kill My Mind’, ‘Only The Brave’ & ‘Fearless’. Tomlinson has also managed to tug on the heartstrings through songs like ‘Two Of Us’ & ‘Too Young’. Overall an amazing album that takes you on a journey of Louis life through the past ten years . Overall a really enjoyable album!!!

    On his debut album Louis shows his beautiful and honest compositions with a pure voice. I was surprised by his emotion in Two Of Us and Was. Always You and Fearless are honest and sound wonderful. And Defenceless and Kill My Mind is an extra climb for the indie.

    This album has everything I look for in music: beautiful lyrics, astounding vocals ans incredible melodies and so much instrumentation! I love tge violins in a few songs. The lyrics make feel hopeful, and my favorite song Defenseless so far.

Louis Tomlinson has such a unique voice and he does how to use it and make who's listening feel every word he sings. He as a songwriter has the talent to turn even the most negative situation into a positive song. That it'sAs a debut album, Walls is a solid foundation, It's one of those albums that can easily over the years became a classic, it's a highly emotive and empowering listen. Louis Tomlinson has such a unique voice and he does how to use it and make who's listening feel every word he sings. He as a songwriter has the talent to turn even the most negative situation into a positive song. That it's not a skill that comes from nowhere, it takes experience.     The year has just begun and Walls can already be considered one of the best releases of 2020, Louis Tomlinson manages to bring a very pleasant vibe and his compositions are truly genuine. His voice perfectly matches the melody of the songs and the inspiration in Oasis is notorious, this is certainly an album that will stay in my mind for a long time.

    It’s one of the best albums i’ve listened to in a while. There’s so much emotion and feelings in it, i loved it. It’s a masterpiece. All of the songs have their own thing, none of them are boring. I’ve had a lot of fun listening to it! Definitely 100% would recommend it to anyone.

    he has a unique voice and is able to pass his feelings through it. great composer, I would say, lyrics that remind me of old feelings of being in love or in search of self-knowledge.

Acredito que uma ou duas poderiam estar fora (eu diria Perfect Now e We Made It, que foram mais para um lado pop), mas todas as outras dão uma excelência indiscutível a este álbum. Walls, Kill My Mind e Only the Brave certamente se destacam majestosamente. Para finalizar, algo que não pude deixar de notar foi a neutralidade dos gêneros nas músicas; se não me engano houve apenas uma em que ele cita a palavra “queen/rainha”, dando a entender que é uma mulher, entretanto, em nenhuma outra há essa especificação. O que torna tudo mais interessante porque as musicas poderão ser usadas tanto por pessoas heterossexuais, como por homoafetivas. Posso dizer que Louis Tomlinson certamente ganhou mais uma fã!… Expand

    I honestly never payed much attention to one direction but after hearing that Louis Tomlinson was the last of the boys to release an album I thought I would check it out. My unbiased opinion is that ‘Walls’ is one of the best albums to be released by a 1D member. He may not have the ‘strongest’ voices but he knows how to use his voice incredibly well. I also love the oasis vibe. 10/10

    I absolutely loved it, very enchanting real and raw album!! The sound in this album is something no one else is doing we should definitely bring back the pop rock punk rock sound back!!!! I can’t believe It’s his debut album and his music already is so good, the lyrics are amazing and thoughtful I just can’t wait to see what else Louis comes up with in the future.

    So, I’m not fan, and he’s just kill it. LITERRALY, it’s pretty good and personal, this boy write songs with all his heart, and the vocals???? FRAKING HIGH NOTES
    It’s the most mature album from a ex One Direction. He’s a grown man! Deserves better. Xoxo.

    The album is just so good! The lyrics of songs like "Fearless", "defenceless" and "habit" are amazing, and you can see how good Louis is as a lyricist! Also the vocals are perfect. I wish the critics could give it better reviews, but wbk how is a trend being too critical to Louis Tomlinson, even when he's doing a good job.

I really love from the first opening you feel the exciting feelings and then you get the heartbreaking one like Two of Us and then he gave us another light to life with Don't Let It Break Your Heart. Alternative feels with Walls. Fearless give me those youth feelings you can't get at these age. You can feel it he poured his heart out in this album, andThis is what we need on the radio.     4 long years waiting for the debut album of Louis Tomlinson, and I dare to say that they were totally worth it. Walls is a tremendous work of art, just listen to how liberated it feels to be able to sing the way you like it. It represents a great process and growth both in your career and in yourself. I loved it.

    The walls album is a masterpiece, the lyrics speak to me and you can clearly hear the authenticity in the songs especially in two of us. this song specifically inspires hope for those who have lost a loved one. a song like walls talks about going through struggles in life and coming up on top as a winner. in general the whole album is phenomenal and extraordinary.

    The album is amazing! Every single lyric written with so much pure soul! Every song coming straight from the heart! This album is honestly one of the besT I’ve heard in a long time.     The Walls album has impressive, well structured lyrics, etc. What the singer feels when writing or singing them reaches your heart, knows how to convey what he feels to his listeners, certainly a good experience.

    I think it's an excellent debut album. It expresses exactly what many of us can feel in a difficult time, from a loving failure, to the loss of an important person. His music also teaches us to be brave, and get ahead despite the "walls" that life puts us. Good lyrics and rhythm.

    Try as he may, Tomlinson has not quite progressed from featured voice to solo artist. For all the major changes in his life, his music seems to be stuck in place. You can take the boy out of the boyband, but not the boyband out of the boy.

    Even if the songs on Walls aren't the most distinct or memorable, they come from a place of authenticity that's genuinely heartwarming and enjoyable. Like any other settled adult, he's perfectly content to stick to the reliable and Walls winds up being the most mature and natural of the ex-1D bunch.
