  1. Wildflower moves Sheryl Crow one step closer to Hall of Fame status.
  2. The album seems to be one of her most consistent records and one of her best.
  3. The New York Times

Along with glimmering guitars, she brings on the strings. She risks turning doubly pompous when she combines cosmic thoughts and big baroque production. Most of the time, Ms. Crow gets away with it. [26 Sep 2005]

It all shows Crow as smart and mature. But the giddy-kid part of her is missed. [25 Sep 2005]

Almost every track plays nice sweet-and-sour tricks on the ears. But maximum, piercingly intelligent, heartfelt Crow comes through only in Sending A Letter To God. [Oct 2005, p.98]
  6. Paste Magazine

A collection of introspective songs that's heavy on the flower and hardly wild. [Dec 2005, p.107]
  7. Where Wildflower fails is in almost everything.

A great, great album with gorgeous arrangements and perfect songs. None of the good-time party songs found on previous releases (except "Live A great, great album with gorgeous arrangements and perfect songs. An improvement on C'mon C'mon but doesn't touch the greatness of her self titled or Globe Sessions.

This release, however, will leave these fans disappointed. It's a good overall record, but there is very little change throughout the album. "Lifestyles" and "Chances Are" are good tracks, bu the rest of it is just full of the same. Expand
