Jun 4, 2013I can't help but feel with Amok that the formidable line-up goes to waste. This just feels like 'The Thom Yorke Show'. It is undoubtedly clever yet the horrible side-effect of this is that it is terrible dull and lacklustre. If they come back for another album, I want to hear Flea's energy pumped into it and then maybe we will be onto something great.

Oct 4, 2013While not as inscrutable as Yorke's finest work, Amok brings him one step closer to blurring that distinction between man and machine.

Jun 4, 2013There are moments of warped magic--haunting melodies, neat instrumental hooks, surprising turns of key and mood--but there are also times when you suspect it might have been more interesting to hear what Yorke and his collaborators came up with in the studio before it got eaten by ProTools.

Mar 22, 2013Amok is a tenaciously rich and strong album that is certainly the work of gifted musicians.
