Many times, by it's very nature, “Barbie: The Album” suffers from excessive impersonality, in tracks that fall by the wayside. Some will say that Billie Eilish's existential ballad, “What was I made for?”, would be the record's dissonant not, but who would expect anything else from the singer? She may even give that chill at Barbie's party, but she's beautiful and suited to the plot. Barbie Album is a discomfort, happy yet disappointed somehow. Like I like the Ice Spice song Barbie World with Queen Nicki Minaj and the PinkPanterness song Angel a cute song and Home by Haim. I well appreciate Billie Eillish she's still making a great songs though. However some of the song I didn't well enjoy that much or I don't like it at all. Like the Speedrive by Charli XCX or the Barbie Dreams by FiftyFifty and Kalii. Kalii gurl I love u and your Area Codes but the song your new made is mess. Dua Lipa's song "Dance The Night" is a very pretty pop song but I don't know I'm not vibing it all. Maybe I need time but it's not a terrible song either like the Barbie Dream or the Speedrive. "I'm m Just Ken" by Ryan Gosling my boo, what's the production in the middle of ur song. I kind of shock but anyway somehow good song yet I don't like at all. "Pink" by Lizzo is okay for me, no comment. "Butterflies" by Gayle and "Choose Your Fighter" by Ava Max is a mess. Sorry sweeties but I don't fan of this song. The rest that I didn't mention is you know what I'm talking y'all . Expand

Barbie: The Album is a celebration as colorful and uplifting as the movie itself, and both are highly recommended.

The only dud is GAYLE’s ‘butterflies’, which does nothing more than showcase the record’s corporate origins. Sampling a Y2K hit would have surely looked good on paper at some point; in reality it’s a confused mish-mash of sounds, the sample appearing as an add-on, the newcomer without the star power of her peers here to hint lyrically at anything of note. That aside, life in plastic does indeed sound fantastic.

We get some huge heavy hitters who do very good-to-great work. But the record sinks into pink slush during the so-so-filler tracks. Although there are some fantastic high points and some tacky low points, Barbie: The Album still manages to pull through with a cheeky victory, even if it’s qualified.
