MattJun 9, 2005Much of it falls into the overproduction they've been guilty of lately.
-
-
michaelorbJun 9, 2005A great album. It's amazing to see how there are a lot of people who gave it '0' or '2-3', its a clear signal that Oasis still bothers many people over the world, just to love them or hate them. Still one of the best bands in the world.

crisasdfasdJun 9, 2005oasis are gods.
-
-
duncantJun 9, 2005an all round solid album which shows a band which has collectively found a good understanding which has been lost since whats the story.
-
-
I.P.KnightleyJun 9, 2005A very poor effort indeed. There is a lot of better music out there you should invest your money on.
-
-
JulianCJun 9, 2005Fantastic album from Britains best band!!!
-
-
MarcBJun 8, 2005This is the first album of oasis that i ever listened ( i know the hits) And i found it once again beatlesque but really not bad!!! This one kicks up coldplay X&Y ass easily this year!!!
-
-
ajbillyJun 8, 2005Oasis is back in their direction! Simply best then previous three..

-
-
EricRJun 6, 2005The best Oasis record in some time. Good songs by all, including those by Gem Archer and Andy Bell. I have to laughs at all of the bad reviews here that have absolutely nothing to say...very clever.
-
-
JackJun 6, 2005Surely one of the best album of 2005. It's a complex album, of pure rock'n'roll. No matter, the best one of this band since the golden age of Britpop. Must have.
-
-
vikJun 6, 2005a brilliant album from a brilliant band!
-
-
HowcJun 6, 2005Definitely up there with definitely maybe and What's the story morning glory.
-
-
JakobSJun 5, 2005Great album. Their best since WTSMG.
-
-
RichardLJun 5, 2005A definite return to form compared to last two. Leave your pre conceived ideas behind, this is one of the best albums released this year. Jury's still out but it could become a classic.

-

FerJun 5, 2005Best album of Oasis in 10 years
-
-
ChrisJun 5, 2005the only other oasis cd i own is morning glory. so i haven't been "dirtied" by the apparent badness of the previous 3 albums. but i think this is a good album. it's very melodic, and i don't understand the low ratings.
-
-
GerryFJun 4, 2005Hummm, perhaps they should have titled this "don't believe the hype". Of all the good stuff glaring out at me from the record store shelves I chose this dud. Oasis are trading on the golden days. Shallow poorly constructed dribble. Best band in the World--Yeah Right!
-
-
PeterOJun 4, 2005by oasis standards, this is forgettable. they've lost the throne to coldplay and radiohead.
-
-
AbidKJun 4, 2005Absolutely awesum, a return to form, loving 'Keep the Dream Alive', this album has more than kept the dream alive, its re-invigorated it
-
-
johnhJun 4, 2005i appreciate that oasis still go out doing what they do, but i don't feel any lasting feeling after the final track on this album. it's just a fleeting feeling which makes oasis sound less inspiring.
-
-
RaulRJun 4, 2005It's definitely not Morning Glory, it's a blind alley that can't even balance on the "Shoulders of Giants"
-
-
LindaMJun 4, 2005Among the most overhyped and discouraging releases of this year.
-
-
KyleWJun 4, 2005It sounds preconceived and disoriented.
-
-
JohnDJun 4, 2005Excellent all around; better and better with each suceeding listen.
-
-
FelipeMJun 4, 2005Just one word to define: PERFECT!!!
-
-
JohnBJun 4, 2005This album us v.v.good. Its fresh and surprisingly original. Every song is different. Best album for years.
-
-
DaveJun 3, 2005One of the greatest albums I've heard in years, and definitely the best album of 2005! Nothing but undeniable, quality rok n roll!
-
-
MarioCJun 3, 2005Great Album!!
-
-
JonnyCJun 3, 2005With all the s**t albums coming out from all the new bands that the british music industry is producing, its great to hear another quality album from britains best band.
-
-
JasonSJun 3, 2005Its a good album. Shouldn't that be good enough? Its not Definately Maybe, its not Morning Glory, but its good. so why bitch about?
-
-
AshleyWJun 3, 2005A fantastic album. I can't wait to hear the new songs live!
-
-
juanJun 3, 2005the best album of 2005
-
-
joselJun 3, 2005it is a good cd and it is different.it remembers me to the white cd of the beatles because each different song.
-
-
JulesPJun 3, 2005it's a dark time for the music but this album is great. The best of the year
-
-
AndySJun 3, 2005Definitely a return to form. Better than last 2 albums and comfortably sits alongside Definitely Mabe and What's the Story. Liam is improving as a writer as well
-
-
declanmJun 3, 2005These guys have sucked since after the first album and they have got more annoying since if you want real music listen to coldplay
-
-
lukebJun 3, 2005I think it´s great album...
-
-
AlexisSJun 2, 2005ho-hum.
-
-
JohnRJun 2, 2005It took 3 'good' but not great albums for Oasis to finally make what would have been a fitting follow-up to the fantastic (What's The Story) Morning Glory. Don't Believe The Truth is an album that really grows on you, and has little to no filler. I believe it shows Oasis' future will be very promising.
-
-
JakeWJun 2, 2005The music they make is still ten times better than the stuff on radio these days.
-
-
MikeGJun 2, 2005This album proves that Oasis are back. Without question. Anyone who has listened to it has to admit they have really done it. They've gotten back to their form of '94 and '95, minus the cockiness.
-
-
SShihJun 2, 2005
-
-
TimHJun 2, 2005fantastic
-
-
matthewJun 2, 2005This is right up there with their first two albums. Andy and Gem breathe new sounds into the album throughout, Noel does his best vocals since "Dont Look Back In Ander," surpassing those with his vocals on "The Importance of Being Idle." A new golden age for Oasis and fans indeed.

JKMJun 2, 2005

-
DrederickTJun 2, 2005This is a disappointing return. I was truly psyched that they would think and dream big as they did with "Morning Glory" and "Be Here Now" after their international decline. But they still sound like they're trapped in this formulaic rut. Has Noel Gallagher lost his poetic sense of wonder?
-
-
NeilGJun 2, 2005The best song on here is "Lyla" and that's tuneless drivel. What's no surprise is that morons the world over still believe the hype !

-
-
CharlieBJun 2, 2005Getting there - best in years but still some fillers.
-
-
EamonKJun 2, 2005Bad reviews stick in the mind more than excellent reviews in general. However its hard not to give this return to form a big thumbs up. F the begrudgers.
-
-
EBirdJun 2, 2005
-
-
MattBJun 2, 2005Not up to the standards set by Definitely Maybe or Morning Glory, this is still a good Oasis record with a great song from Gem and your standard kick ass ballad from Noel.
-
-
AlbertAJun 2, 2005Surprisingly good after their two last albums (which were quite dissapointing). I cannot stop listening to it. It grows and grows...
-
-
jasonWJun 2, 2005This is not Noel Gallagher, this is Oasis. It is not 10 years past because these guys are grown men now. As a longtime fan, i can see the growth and mellowness of the album. Very non-traditional, but an excellent album none the less. A bold move to reduce all the shite that bogged them down before; go get the album it's the second best album to come out of the UK this year (Coldplay).
-
-
MajkyAJun 2, 2005Damn cool album, I love almost all song!!!

JonathanBJun 1, 2005
-
-
timwJun 1, 2005Great record, definitely the best since Morning Glory, Nice one boys, there is not one skip track on this album, where as on the last few Oasis Albums a few were. Album of the year.
-
-
[Anonymous]Jun 1, 2005What do you expect? An nu-metal band is in the top scoring. You know SOMETHING is wrong.
-
-
JonPJun 1, 2005A fine return to form -- the best oasis album since Be Here Now. At most only one or two weak tracks on the album while sporting a few masterpieces such as Part of the Queue, The Importance of Being Idle, and Guess God Thinks I'm Abel. The best album of 2005 thus far.
-
-
AllanRJun 1, 2005Oasis is finally back... It takes a while to get in love with the songs, but they are definitely good... All of them. My favs are "Part Of the Queue" and "Mucking Fingers".
-
-
CosmoJun 1, 2005
-
-
ShamaarA.Jun 1, 2005Listenable tracks are scarce on this album. Songs like "Mucky Fingers" or "Meaning of soul" are a joke. They should've split at least 5 years ago...
-
-
FermínJun 1, 2005Best Album since Morning Glory
-
-
heihJun 1, 2005this sucks big time
-
-
mauibJun 1, 2005Don't Believe DeRogatis
-
-
PaulPJun 1, 2005Very average
-
-
JohnPJun 1, 2005Critics and haters miss the point. Oasis are the last of a dying breed. The last of the true British Invasion worshipers. Come on now, would you really rather listien to melodic ballads of Sytem of a Down or the rockin bad boy antics of Dave Mathews? Excuse me while I go pass gas...

-
eurospeakingJun 1, 2005Same boring brit-pop as before. Nothing new to it whatsoever...
-
-
KevinYMay 31, 2005A true return to form for Oasis. From beginning to end, a great rock 'n' roll album.
-

jeremiahsMay 31, 2005great cd. much better than the last one.
-
-
PaulKMay 31, 2005Masterpiece.
-
-
ChrisGMay 31, 2005Best since What's The Story. A few critics seem to have panned it based on feelings towards the Gallaghers, most of which are a decade in the making. A phenomenal album.
-
-
mattaMay 31, 2005
-
-
KikoJMay 31, 2005Noel's only good song on this one is "Part Of The Queue". The standout tracks on the album are actually Andy's "Keep The Dream Alive" and Gem's "A Bell Will Ring". 10 years is way too long a time to be continually mediocre.
-
-
kevinmMay 31, 2005best album to come out of Europe the last 20 years. Stone-cold masterpiece. I love the return to form. Give it a spin!
-
-
DimasM.May 31, 2005Brilliant.
-
-
MikeRMay 31, 2005This is not Morning Glory or Definitely Maybe, but is by far the best record since those two! new direction for oasis on this one.
-
-
PaulSMay 31, 2005Very solid album on par with their first two releases
-
-
AbedsaHMay 31, 2005Don't Believe The Truth is the best album of 2005.
-
-
davemMay 31, 2005A much better effort than the previous 2 albums who try'd to immitate the originals. The songs have been written by diffeernt members of the band giving each song quite differnt sounds and influences, some are still mediocore and seems noels melody writing ability is being lost only penning 5 songs.
-
-
LeeBMay 31, 2005Best Oasis album since WTSMG. Easily the best album I've heard all year. Oasis have returned to form.

Awards & Rankings
-
Yes, the rumors are true: Oasis has--for the first time in a decade--made an album worth hearing.
-
Mediocre melodies ride atop formulaic songwriting.
-
In the end, it's Oasis's attempts to capture former pinnacles, from trying to re-create the simple sunny-side-up pleasures of "Live Forever" to trying for another album-ending mountain like "Champagne Supernova," that keep their latter-day output so entirely forgettable.
