The self-proclaimed King of the South addresses his troubles on tracks like Welcome to the World and Castle Walls.

Tracks like the delinquent reminiscence "How Life Changed" and the mea culpa duet with Chris Brown, "Get Back Up", teeter queasily on the cusp of boast and apology. But you have to admire the gall of a repeat offender brazen enough to feature a quote from Helen Keller in his lyric booklet.

While T.I.'s measured, discursive rap style is heard at its best on scourging confessional duets with Eminem and, of all people, Christina Aguilera on the genuinely touching Castle Walls, Further promising collaborations with Kanye West, Pharrell and Drake end up having a rather more formulaic ring to them. 1. T.I. released recently from jail released an album called “No Mercy.” T.I. is a Grammy award winner. This is seventh studio album. The album was originally called “The King Uncaged” . This album has fourteen tracks featured in it.T.I. owns up to his failures and is trying to do better in the future. T.I. wanted to make an album to sell as many albums as people what better way to do that then bring in the biggest musicians in the game right. People go crazy when T.I. surrounds himself with great talents Eminem,Chris Browm, Trey Songs, and etc. Guys who know about overcoming hard times in their lives. Another interesting thing in this album is that T.I. produces his own beats. Which the beats in this album are sick on some of the tracks. It is impressive that he raps and produces his own music. He also had Christina Augilair feature in the track “Castle Walls”, which she sings beautifully in. The song “Castle Walls” has T.I. rapping breaking down his life behind the fame. Another great song on this album is “ Strip” featuring in it is Trey Songs and Young Dro. The song is catchy and they talk about how they are such playboys in life. Songs that make that also make a debut on this album are, “Welcome to the World featuring Kanye West and Kid Cudi”, “That's all She Wrote” featuring Eminem and “Poppin Bottles” featuring Drake. These songs are descent because T.I. made a couple decisions with this album and one of them was to bring in talent to be featured on this album. If these artists didn’t decide to feature on this album it would not be anything close to where it is now .T.I. and Chris brown have booth made bad decisions in life and decided to write a track together to be on the album. By having all of these famous musicians on this album promote the album. It gives you the idea that the album has a lot of potential. Even though this album has all the stars and greats, it still isn’t that great of an album. The most disappointing thing on the album is that the second half was contrary to T.I.’s situation right now. Also, he refuses to take responsibility for going back to jail again by doing drugs, and etc. Hopefully T.I. can get off the drugs and get his life together. Then he will produce much better music and have more than just a couple solid tracks. Expand

  2. I'll get through the positives first: This relatively mediocre album from T.I. is pretty much ran by his guest acts. The opening track with Kanye and Cudi is a solid track, if only for those two being on it. And "That's All She Wrote" is the shining light of the album, with phenomenal turns by both T.I. and Eminem (Kind of like how Eminem helped make the only good track of Lil' Wayne's Revolver). Other than that, nothing is memorable and special, and it lacks any particular density (Paper Trail lacked density as well, but managed to overcome this problem with solid production and singles). The album is not really worth revisiting, other than "That's All She wrote". Expand

  3. T.I. try to make a comeback like one Eminem did. But it failed. No Mercy was really bad but I think he doesnt put as much effort as he needed to. I'm a Big T.I. fan i have all of his CD's lets just say I could of gone through life without listening to the album Expand
