  1. With her second proper full-length, Dessa has been cemented as one of the most important voices in not only hip-hop but all music today.

It's stylish, poppy and striking from songwriting to production. [Jul 2013, p.100]

It’s not a difficult album, but it does require a certain amount of investment from the listener, and a willingness to follow Dessa down whatever corridors her erratic muse leads her.

Dessa's hyper-aware of her limitations, frolicking safely within the confines of her range, yet she delivers her best, most confident vocals on "Fighting Fish" and "The Lamb," both equal parts rap and singing.

Her lyrics are about as good as they have ever been and she's left herself very open with her relationships. Her voice and accompanying instrumentals flow well together almost perfectly, with Dessa bouncing between both her distinctive rapping style and singing vocals. I highly recommend this album.
