    The frustrating thing about Past Lives is that it simply sounds like good music. It is not bigger or smaller than the sum of its parts – it’s exactly that. The members got the recipe just right, but it doesn’t leave much of an aftertaste.

Dunes, a supergroup consisting of Anthony Green, Frank Iero, Travis Stever, Tim Payne, and Tucker Rule. The album can be described as a complex network of interconnected threads, like a spider's web, that captures and unifies all the noise, riffs, and obsessive choruses within it. The lyrics of the songs delve into themes of struggle, stress, anxiety, despair, deception, physical pain, and the past. The album can be seen as an enchanted mirror that reflects the present in detail, but also the past and its possibilities, moments of rupture, and instances. The lyrics of the songs also frequently reference loneliness, feeling trapped or confined, and alienation.
