    The best album to come out of 2013. It's a shocking improvement from her previous classic and it ended certain beasts' careers. May she bless my ears and all our ears with the voice of an angel for years to come. RIP FLOPGA

    This album is so common, current and plane that will surely please the public. It is an ordinary album for ordinary people.
    Katy Perry abused to be the same as ever, without growing or propose as an artist: she is not an artist. She just wants to sell tracks as stupid as "Cause I am a champion and you're gonna hear me roar".
    Besides her vocals lacerate ears on tracks like Unconditionally.

    Katy Perry didn't surprise me in this album. What's the meaning of the album? Give me some personality, Give me some sick beats (like "This is how we do"), Give me some great vocals in the love songs (Like "Love Me") and differents vocals from track to track. Less lyrics like "Birthday" or "Roar" and more like "Dark Horse" (for the radio) and "Walking on Air", Less "Just hits for theKaty Perry didn't surprise me in this album.     It's Teenage Dream all over again. The music is more serious? Seriously, is it?

    Katy played it safe again. All the tracks are catchy and they could do well on charts, but, they're incredibly forgettable. They not only sound alike with the songs on Teenage Dream, they also sound alike between them! By the Grace of God, Unconditionally, Roar and Walking on Air are the only standout tracks.

    Katy should take more risks and try new styles. Her fans will like Prism, but the general public will hardly do.    … Expand

    An underwhelming follow-up to her previous album 'Teenage Dream', 'PRISM' simply revisits many elements from her past works. Although promised for a darker change in musical and artistic style, Katy Perry instead plays it safe and sticks to the same mediocre music made for the charts; made to sell. Perry sticks to the same formula, yet this time executes it poorly.

    Seriously I could only tolerate like 3 songs from this album. This is such a bad follow up to Teenage dream. Legendary Lovers sounds so cheap and corny. Roar is catchy but the lyrics are so cliche. Birthday and walking on Air are okay.     I was very sad to see how bad is pop music now days. The lyrics are so poor that you can't give a chance to the album, bad melodies et bad lyrics, how sad is it.. The melodies are not even good for a cartoon jingle of the sunday morning..

    Incredibly mature, but forcing maturity out was difficult for Perry, for the entire started pumped up and high but it ended terribly boring like a calculus class.

    She's definitely matured as a writer (as seen on “Ghost” and “It Takes Two”) however she continues to include some sell out songs (which I never find terrible because it makes the album fun). There's no boundaries trying to be pushed, musically, vocally, lyrically, etc; she's not meant for that. But it's okay because Ms. Perry will continue writing what Ms. Perry wants.     It's generally just a forgettable album. ZZZZ... I had to skip a couple of songs because they were jsut unbearable. There are a few decent songs, and she has a good voice, but it was just meh.

    This album have good songs, but most of them look like the same! I like Katy Perry but and I really think she did a great job with this album but she need to do different things and get out of her comfort zone.

    Basic, formulaic and the vocals will hurt your ears. Katy stitches together the same cloth 16 different ways on this album to make it's tracks. Such a downgrade from Teenage Dream, which was at least full of bops.

    Her best album, for sure it's not repetitive, we can see a more personal Katy, we can hear her voice, pop anthems and strong powerfull ballads and amazing lyrics, makes this album one of the bests albums of 2013.

    as músicas boas são Spitual, Ghost, By The Grace of God, Choose Your Battles e It Takes Two, espero que ela traga musicas suaves assim pra próxima era ou seja Dark.

As a whole it's pretty disjointed, but that's not to say there aren't some fantastic songs on this album. The standout tracks in my opinion are Roar, Legendary Lovers, Walking on Air, This Is How We Do, International Smile, By The Grace of God,Prism functions more as a collection of songs than as a cohesive album, which turns out to be somewhat satisfying and irritating at the same time. The standout tracks in my opinion are Roar, Legendary Lovers, Walking on Air, This Is How We Do, International Smile, By The Grace of God, Spiritual, and Choose Your Battles. Most of the other songs are pretty good too, and some are just duds, namely Unconditionally, Love Me, and This Moment.

    Prism definitely isn't the masterpiece that was Teenage Dream, but it still features a nice collection of diverse, catchy, and memorable pop songs that is more or less a continuation of her winning formula from her last album.    … Expand

    You will dance to it and enjoy some non-dull tracks, but overall it's just another pop release. No surprises, innovations, or risks here.

    Katy Perry has come a long way. This is almost the raw emotion and fun of her life since her last album. Every song is either really personal or just fun. Her aim was just to do what she wanted to do and not win awards and be #1.

The first half of the album hit us with a collection of Pop-Rock songs ft. the first singles showing the highlights -Dark Horse, Unconditionally and Legendary Lovers- the second half shock me because it doesn't feel right it doens't fit. It isn't completely Pop an it isn't completely Ballads she's confused and this time and recorded such bad tracks this time. But saved her record with other highlights -It Takes Two, Ghost and By The Grace Of God- when she talks difficult times of life including suicide and spiritual things.… Expand

    That sounds so good! Katy sounds more mature, with incredible lyrics and beats! The Katy Perry musical's evolution scared me, not to candy and comemrcial but not so scared like One Of the Boys, Katy found her way! I love Legendary Lovers and this album desurve a 10.

    Less trashy than the sugary (diabetic) Teenage Dream, but somewhat discontinuous. It's quite enjoyable as a pop album, but it still gets annoying due to Perry's often awful voice, especially in Birthday, the worst song on Prism. Deluxe tracks are inconsistent and forgettable, while some tracks like 'Double Rainbow' and 'Ghost' are kinda underrated and misunderstood. Legendary Lovers is aLess trashy than the sugary (diabetic) Teenage Dream, but somewhat discontinuous. It's quite enjoyable as a pop album, but it still gets annoying due to Perry's often awful voice, especially in Birthday, the worst song on Prism. Deluxe tracks are inconsistent and forgettable, while some tracks like 'Double Rainbow' and 'Ghost' are kinda underrated and misunderstood. Legendary Lovers is a successful experiment bringing oriental atmosphere in a occidental music, which barely manages to adapt itself with an "international smile".

    The most surprising thing is that here sex isn't a lyrical object, unlike Bangerz, ARTPOP, and above all, unlike Teenage Dream.

    It's very good as a pop album, but it's still too much impregnated with false forced feelings of happiness and hope.    … Expand

    Prism marked the change of Katy going from "I wanna make big hits" to "I wanna make meaningful hits" and did that really work? Well Roar was a fun song it was definitely in line with Shake It Off, where it's not a great song but it gets the message across. So the era started off on an ok hit. And we got a few tastes of the album before it came out and they were ok. When the album came out I was kind of scared because Katy's idea of a meaningful song was just meh to me and a lot of other people. And I was right the album had a few fun songs, but the songs that were supposed to be taken seriously were just not. Katy created another decent album and of course it did not have Teenage Dream's sales success or song success. The only song after Roar to be a real hit was Dark Horse which was a semi-big hit but of course still not as big as anything like her recent bangers. This album marked the decline of her career commerical wise and quality wise.… Expand

    Juvenile songs screeched in a pitchy voice. Katy claimed this would be her darkest album yet, she still insists on childish songs like 'This is How We Do' and 'Birthday'. It was clear that all Katy was thinking about when "writing" this album was number 1's and chart hits rather than her emotions.
    Considering she's almost 31, it's almost embarrassing.

    this is the best perry album without a shadow of doubt, I found a smart move to split the album into 2 parts, commercial and emotional, unlike the other two, ONE OF THE BOYS is a confusing and horrible mixture of 2, the TEENAGE DREAM is entirely commercial, anyone who understands music can see that this is your best

The songs might be catchy but it is just one of those catchy songs that really don't make sense. Double Rainbow is the only standout to this horrible compilation. But this album is not the worst out of the rest of Perry's lackluster music

    I used to listen to her 1 year ago and now I did back and PRISM is still a good album, the last tracks are the best, but the singles are the worst. Ballades like 'Ghost' 'Love Me' 'Double Rainbow' are the best.

Its more inspiring. Well it is still Katy Perry but a lot more responsible with her actions. The songs are great and I'm impressed that she co-wrote all of them so props to Katy.     PRISM feels like a repeat of the Tenage Dream formula. Alhtough there are substantial songs like Spiritual, This Moment and Legendary Lovers, the whole is just disconnected. Its an album made of different songs together, sometimes feeling empty and with no self identity.

The bubblegum perfection of "Birthday" and "This Is How We Do" brighten the mood of an otherwise "safe" album. The true killer standout track is Dark Horse, a trap-influenced hip-pop song. Although Juicy J may not have been the best choice for a feature, his bars don't detract fromPrism is KP's most focused work to date. The album opens with the anthemic "Roar" and soars from there on. The bubblegum perfection of "Birthday" and "This Is How We Do" brighten the mood of an otherwise "safe" album. The true killer standout track is Dark Horse, a trap-influenced hip-pop song. Although Juicy J may not have been the best choice for a feature, his bars don't detract from the perfection.     It doesn’t require the patience or emotional/intellectual involvement that albums I typically listen to require. The cool thing, though, is that it does have quite a bit of redeeming value.
