Aug 10, 2014Awful remix album. It nearly killed everything which made Hybrid Theory great. Only 1 track (pts.of.athrty // Jay Gordon) is good, maybe slightly better than the original. It is the only Linkin Park album (If a remix album counts) that I regret buying.

FredW.Aug 7, 2002Remixed crap. Won't ever buy another L.P. CD on faith. Very disappointing, especially considering how great the Hybrid Theory CD was. Techo-remix crap!

InsertNameHereAug 22, 2007Not COMPLETELY horrible but after listening to Hybrid Theory and then listening to this you realize just how good Hybrid Theory is. Do yourself a favor, ignore this and buy Hybrid Theory.

JGAug 19, 2002Let's take a mediocre, uncreative rock album, and strip away the hooks. We'll add a bunch of noise, spell everything wrong, and sell it back to our fans. it's not new, but it's kinda new! what crap.

KellyOOct 11, 2005Simply put: this is the worst C.D. I own, have ever owned, and probably will ever own. I am ashamed to own it. I can't believe I wasted a CD-R on this. A "0" rating is low enough.

MattPDec 14, 2003Crap on a plate. The only way to describe Linkin Park's man-child whining and over pretentious guitar rifts. I offically dub Linkin Park as the worst sound to ever come out of anything.

Nov 14, 2011Easily the worst they have ever put out. A completely pointless remix album that does nothing but butcher and ruin classic LP songs for no reason at all.

On the one hand, the results are more varied than the monochromatic ''Hybrid Theory.'' On the other hand, the remixes at times obliterate one of the band's most distinctive characteristics -- the vocal interplay between singer Chester Bennington and MC Mike Shinoda, a blend that allows their pop tendencies to poke through from time to time.
-
The dominant sound is of flickering sequencers and heavy-handed synth-pomp which showcases Linkin Park's keen interest in the work of Depeche Mode, but also often leaves them sounding about as cutting-edge and dangerous as Jesus Jones.
-
The music isn't exactly groundbreaking, and none of the remixes improve on the Hybrid Theory originals, but the boyish energy of Reanimation has its own appeal, and it's not too far emotionally from the tried-so-hard spirit of "In the End."
