Reputation is a successful merging of commercial capability and music quality. Creative and clever lyrics, along with breathtaking and original productions, make Reputation a perfect pop record. Reputation highlights Taylor's talent in telling her true self out of grief and bad past experiences. Swift has undoubtedly become a full pop star.

The album starts strong but becomes inconsistent as it progresses. Some tracks feel disconnected and like "fillers." However, standout tracks such as "I Did Something Bad" and "Getaway Car" are truly enjoyable. If the weaker tracks were removed, the album would have been more cohesive. My overall rating is a 6.

Taylor Swifts sixth studio album "Reputation" is a album that takes longer to understand. The albulm is about love when your reputation is on the downfall. “reputation” came in a moment where Taylor Swift was passing through one of the hardest times of her career and personal life. After all the social media drama and the “leaked” phone call, Taylor needed to change the course of her music and made this album. It has some diss tracks and songs where she gives her side of the story, but i think is wrong the way some people sums up the album to“reputation” came in a moment where Taylor Swift was passing through one of the hardest times of her career and personal life. It has some diss tracks and songs where she gives her side of the story, but i think is wrong the way some people sums up the album to this, where in reality, less than half are diss tracks. A big part of the album is filled with very good produced love songs. The catchy lovable radio hit “Delicate” (closing single) really contrasts with the dark and shady lead single “Look What You Made Me Do”. For me, it’s one of Taylor’s greatest albums, it’s super cohesive and still manages to have a variety sounds and subjects on the songs. Expand

After her monumental pop album, 1989, Taylor Swift leans into the realm of contemporary, bland pop melodies.

TERRIBLE ALBUM, LAZY PRODUCTION, AND NO GOOD VOCALS! Can we mention how boring this album was? along with the rest of her discography? predominantly yt generic trash music. Horrible and boring, maybe if she wasn’t sleeping with so much men and being desperate she would’ve made better music! nasty woman

From the single Look what you made me do to the fan favorite getaway car, the album transits effects and vocals never used by Swift. One of the biggest comebacks in pop history, Taylor knew exactly what to make, not just a commercial album, but a real one. Swift's most romantic album with tracks like Call it what you want, gourgeous and king of my heart, where she shows what it's like to fall in love with someone when everything is in chaos. An album full of gossip and betrayal, where you can see her growth as a songwriter. Swift's partnership with Antonoff is stunning Expand

This album should be viewed from a lens that views the album for it's cultural impact, musicality, and introspection. It's the actual canon of Taylor Swift cinematic universe. Don't get sad, get even. Am I right?

This album is great. Whilst still encompassing a pop sound like her last album, she invents a new way of doing so, as “reputation” being focused on big drums and hihats. My favourites are So It Goes, Dancing with our Hands Tied, and I Did Something bad

"reputation" is Taylor's best pop album so far. In this album, Taylor also retains a gentleness of a trace while revenge, you can feel the strong and fragile side of her.

Petty, dated, and repetitive. Does not achieve any artistic goals, being bogged down by substandard production. The lyrics attempt to add personal stakes from the artist into the sound, but they completely fall flat given the over-the-top mess they are sung over.

Sometimes overly busy album. ... Swift soars when she is most herself. [Jan 2018, p.112]

Part rumination on engaging with the pop icon and part deep end even after eating the meal, Reputation keeps the ball in the air, argues for moving forward, even if it’s herky jerky.

Swift’s unencumbered analysis of the tectonic shifts within her personal and public life are equal parts razor sharp and self-indulgent. But as a pop album, Reputation is never revolutionary, the adrenalin rush heady but ultimately short-lived.
