    I was very pleasantly surprised with this album. It sounds really amazing and Louis' voice has a beautiful tone that's nice to listen to. The lyrics are incredible and I can tell they are very honest and authentic. He has really distinguished himself as a solo artist and there is not a single skip on the whole album. Every song carries emotional weight and is great to listen to.

    One of the best albums up to date. The sound that Louis Tomlinson takes on is different compare to today's generic same cord sound. Its melody that haves more then one sound sets on the album. Giving each song a different feeling and with a different story line. Dispite what people say, it's one of the best.

    Walls it's an amazing album, it has so many ranges of music and definitely should have a good place on everyone's timeline. Incredible voice of the singer and talented band.

    Very beautiful and well written album. Louis is so talented. He really paved a way for himself and made the music that he feels comfortable with and I respect that so much. He doesn't care about hits and catchy songs he just pours his heart out on these songs.

    Definitely a must listen! I wasn’t a fan of 1d and only knew bits about them from of my niece so I wasn’t exactly sure what i was getting into when I listened to the album , but must say im happy with the results! Its been a while since I listened to such a vulnerable, emotion filled album. Defenseless is my favorite simply because of how raw and vulnerable it is. Louis sure knows how toDefinitely a must listen!     Louis Tomlinson’s debut album Walls is an absolute masterpiece. Not only the melodies are powerful, but also the lyrics, playing a crucial role and conveying strong messages which are extremely inspiring. Great job!

I wasn't really sure what to expect from a one direction member trying to venture into the likes of indie and Oasis inspired music but Louis Tomlinson has outsold himself. I feel incredibly lucky to have chosen to give this album a listen for I'm addicted to it now. Starting from the peppy, fast beats of kill my mind to the soul-touching only the brave and with lyrical masterpieces like fearless and don't let it break your heart, Louis Tomlinson proves himself worthy of every accolade he ever recieved. His falsetto and the bridge in defenseless are really impressive. There's a taste of 1D here and there in songs like perfect now but what else do you expect from someone who was responsible for more than half of the band's lyrical masterpieces. I wish there was a rating of 1000/10 to give because that's what this album deserves. Louis Tomlinson may not be perfect but he's definitely one of the best musicians and songwriters in the world.… Expand

    Probaby one of the best albums by a one direction member of all time. It has such an interesting sound and something truly enjoyable. I don't know what's wrong with these reviews but then again, this industry has always favored the mediocre artists over true talent.

    This album shows Louis’ growth both as a singer and as a songwriter. His lyrics are really remarkable and his voice sounds perfect in each song. Definitely an album worth listening to.

    love how each song tells a part of some story and its almost magical how he convey his feelings and experiences through them. he reflect his essence in everything he do and its perceived perfectly, its like his seal. also the lyrics he has are really good, joining with the incredible sound and voice, they make it wonderful. i loved the whole album.

    The album really has something hidden deep down, like the best composition and pleasant sounds at the median level maybe it didn't know how to work hard and until some loose songs are better than some of the album. But it brings a 90's vibe, and fits perfectly in your voice and that's spectacular. It was a good launch, but I hope a lot further forward.

    "Walls" ,the debut solo album by Louis Tomlinson is a wonderful piece of art. His improvement, both as a lyricist and a performer, can be seen. The honesty in his lyrics and voice is amazing. It is undoubtedly one of the best albums .

    Positive, and heartfelt. This album is probably more like made for Louis' fans and supporters. If you care enough to give it more than 2 or 3 times of listening, it is likely that you'll appreciate it more. However, there are a couple of tracks that are able to interest the general listeners right from the first listening.

I, for one do not completely love the urban sound being produced in pop music today, so to hear all the authentic and original sounds of guitar, drums and piano, is why I believe Walls is an incredible album.     It kind of sounds like he is still finding his music style, hes released edm, pop, soft rock and even indie. I want to hear more of his pop/edm side, I think hes better off on that route.     I think Louis debut album is solid. The album clearly shows the transition between his 1D days towards his solo work. I like it that the songs are relatable to me - as I also experienced loss of loved one, hardships in relationships (and moving towards breaking down the walls) and loving/missing someone special to me.     Great album to start his solo career.
    Louis Tomlinson has a good musical potential. His lyrics count hundreds of hustorias and his singles are very catchy.
    Two of us is a beautiful song written for your mother.

    This album is a wonderful mix of where Louis has come from and where he is going musically. The songs hit the perfect blend of stripped down and catchy while the lyrics are honest and somehow feel both personal and universal.     The depth, vulnerability and honesty I've heard in the lyrics of this album are of a calibre I haven't experiene in a long long time ! You can cleary see where he gets his inspiration from and also how original is the twist he puts into them. Hope people can start apretiating him more outside of what he used to be part of

    It’s interesting seeing Tomlinson’s transition from being in 1D to him releasing his own music and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this album. Louis experiments with different music genres on this album & he does not disappoint. I definitely will be listening to this album again!!! Really enjoyable.

    I'm a new Louis fan who has a hard time listening to more mainstream artists because I don't really relate to the music. Louis's lyrics are so beautiful and vulnerable that I instantly became obsessed with all of his songs. I understand that some people won't relate as much to his lyrics, but it shocks me that critics are so against Louis. Most songs' lyrics get to you and even if you haven't experienced the same feelings that are described, you still get to relate to those words.     His solo record is nothing like expected. He has truly outdone himself. Coming out of the pop genre and has the potential to do absolutely so much more. He will shine through soon enough! The debut is unexpected.

    Can't believe how amazing Louis' debut album is ! I'm a huge fan of good lyrics and I think his lyrics are amazing and honest too. His voice is also addicting. Wholly, Walls is an amazing album !

    Perfect! Beautiful mix of songs. Proper Pop/Rock/Indie songs with exceptional songwriting! Gives so much Oasis vibes! Great Debut for Louis Tomlinson. And his vocals are great! Give it a listen! Its worth your time!

I’ve always seen his fans waiting and waiting for this moment and I think the wait was worth, it’s and incredible album full of emotions. Two Of Us got me on crying, he sang it with all his heart and I could feel exactly what he was trying to pass.     I will admit I used to be a 1D fan but swayed away in 2013. I've always thought Louis had the most recognizable and the most unique tone out of the bunch so this album clearly grabbed my attention. Walls is amazing, it makes you feel light and makes you reminisce of happy moments in your life. I would recommend this album if you want to feel close to someone you love/adore. Every song is different from the other, musically and lyrically. Tomlinson's vocals touch a new level in songs like Defenceless and Always You. Two Of Us is an emotionally honest song while Only The Brave is bound to be an LGBTQ anthem!… Expand

    I love the guitar, especially on too young. Sounds more organic that music these days so it was nice to find it. The violins were an interesting touch and probably will sound great at live shows. His voice it’s pretty emotional so it gives this album an extra point

    Try as he may, Tomlinson has not quite progressed from featured voice to solo artist. For all the major changes in his life, his music seems to be stuck in place. You can take the boy out of the boyband, but not the boyband out of the boy.

    Even if the songs on Walls aren't the most distinct or memorable, they come from a place of authenticity that's genuinely heartwarming and enjoyable. Like any other settled adult, he's perfectly content to stick to the reliable and Walls winds up being the most mature and natural of the ex-1D bunch.
