    Walls by Louis Tomlinson sincerely surprised me. I thought it would be the same ole cookie cutter music which is on Top 40 radio, today. However, after hearing Walls (the single), I realized this artist actually makes music which goes against the grain and not status quo. Tomlinson's focus on lyrics, the emotion, and the vulnerability in his story in every song is what music is missing.Walls by Louis Tomlinson sincerely surprised me. I thought it would be the same ole cookie cutter music which is on Top 40 radio, today. However, after hearing Walls (the single), I realized this artist actually makes music which goes against the grain and not status quo. Tomlinson's focus on lyrics, the emotion, and the vulnerability in his story in every song is what music is missing. Although there are moments where the artist digresses in sound and lyrics (Perfect Now, Always You), you still can't get the melody and words out of your head. The aforementioned songs, are the only ones I get pure pop vibes from.
    This album is unique. As the listener progresses through the album tracks, they can clearly identify the growth in Tomlinson's music and lyrics, and the outcome is a well written, foundation album that he can build on. If Kill My Mind, Fearless, Walls and Only the Brave is the direction Tomlinson is moving in for his sophomore album, I am here for it. I only see him getting better and better, and the 2nd album more focused on the sound he wants develop.
    Walls, in my opinion, has something for everyone, if you're a new, older fan, it brings back the 90's vibe, a la Green Day, Oasis and other alternative groups. It isn't perfect, but I would recommend this album to anyone who is looking for a feel good, inspirational, and honest lyrically based album. If your looking for outside the hum drum box of Top 40 radio, this is the album for you!    … Expand

    o álbum é perfeito o que eu podia esperar vindo do louis ne? a minha favorita des que saiu a versão em live é defenceless, mas o que falar do hino always you que foi tão aguardado pelos fãs perfeito! e walls com aquele clipe sensacional,two of us que emociona todos nós, em fim não vou falar de todas mas são todas incríveis recomendo muito!

    Tomlinson's debut album is one of the most beautiful I've ever heard. The lyrics, vocals and melodies are just perfect. He's telling us a story. He's the story. This album got me through so many different emotions, something I've never felt before. Definitely my favourite so far. Louis Tomlinson is the most talented man I've ever known.

It's lirically amazing, showing off Louis' songwriting skills, specially in songs like Two Of Us and Only The Brave, and even though the guitar lead predominates in almost all the album, it doesn't annoys. Vai dá alegria a tristeza mas não deixa a esperança. Essa é a verdadeira mensagem de Walls. Não perca a esperança, não desista a pesar de todas as barreiras e dores.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Since 1D days, I always thought he's the weakest voice in the band. Then Four happened, and it's safe to say, I'm shook! He co-wrote many of the band' great tunes and I'm in love. He has a way with simple (sometimes cheesy) lyrics but he can make it a banger, then it's gonna stay long in your brain (I mean, Fireproof, anyone?! Or rock influenced like No Control). I became a fan after that (ppl definitely need to listen to non-single songs in Made in the A.M. to know what I'm talking about). AWY, this brings us to Walls, his solo album, which at first listen, I feel like this is a shy version of "Louis the songwriter". I think, he's playing safe here? There are some songs that hit me in the feels (bc Louis has this quality, he doesn't afraid to show his emotions and you CAN feel that in his songs and his voice) like Two of Us, DLIBYH, Defenceless and Only the Brave. The least fave songs maybe We Made It and Perfect Now bc it's repetitive for the former, and lyrically reminds me of WMYB or Little Things for the latter and I don't think it's quite fit in this album. Over all, I like the album's sound and messages. I can't wait for Louis to finally be brighter and braver in the future.… Expand

    Respecto a las letras es totalmente sorprendente como logra plasmar sentimientos de la manera adecuada. Tiene una gran calidad y no se muestra repetitivo en los significados. Tienes sonidos muy puros y simples que permiten disfrutar plenamente las canciones. Y el tipo tiene una voz increíble, logra transmitir sus emociones en la mayoría de sus notas .

    Louis has tried out alot in past! Like just holf on! He tried out some different tunes but in this album it seems like he found his own music!! This is so refreshing and beautiful!     I've waited 4 long years for this album and honestly this is everything I've dreamed of! Louis' voice is something that needs to be more appreciated, his talent is something out of this world.     After a 4 years of working on this album, this is exactly what we wanted. The Louis's voice fits perfectly with all the melodies and all the melodies had a good rhythm not too fast but not too slow that makes you want to sleep or bores you to the first two songs

    It is an honest and authentic album. Louis shows that he is finally comfortable in the musical space, without worrying about charts and pleasing radio stations, he makes music for fans and especially for love. Certainly one of the best albums I've ever heard.

    Walls is an absolutely flawless album — full of tunes ranging from sad country-esque ballads like ‘Too Young’, to upbeat pop punk rock hits like ‘Kill My Mind’. Louis Tomlinson really showed off with this one — the years of perfecting and crafting this album are definitely showing now. Louis has continued to amaze his very loyal fanbase with having zero skips in his entire discography,Walls is an absolutely flawless album — full of tunes ranging from sad country-esque ballads like ‘Too Young’, to upbeat pop punk rock hits like ‘Kill My Mind’. Louis Tomlinson really showed off with this one — the years of perfecting and crafting this album are definitely showing now.     I really enjoyed this album. Full of great lyrics and tunes that stand out from each other but still feels similar enough to be telling a story in a well put together album.

    It's a fantastic album! The way his lyrisc seems to have their own life, never failing to make you experience the depht of each word! Through his voice you can feel every emotion. He knows what he's doing! Totally worth the wait! Wish him the best for the future!

    An incredible album. Louis Tomlinson, after years, brings to all of his fans a work based on his true self. He is not afraid to show some vulnerability. He sees that this is not a weakness, but on the contrary, it's a strength. It helps with his job as a songwriter (actually, is the base of it) which is the actual point of this album. The artist translated his losses, his love life, etcAn incredible album. Louis Tomlinson, after years, brings to all of his fans a work based on his true self. He is not afraid to show some vulnerability. He sees that this is not a weakness, but on the contrary, it's a strength. It helps with his job as a songwriter (actually, is the base of it) which is the actual point of this album. The artist translated his losses, his love life, etc with passion and besides being a way of venting, as a form to help his listeners and remind them how strong they are.     These songs are so pure and organic just like he promised to us. You really feel the songs and the voice and everything, Louis Tomlinson is such a powerful songwriter.

    Try as he may, Tomlinson has not quite progressed from featured voice to solo artist. For all the major changes in his life, his music seems to be stuck in place. You can take the boy out of the boyband, but not the boyband out of the boy.

    Solo debuts with this much expectation are incredible challenges. While “Walls” isn’t a craven ripoff or an attempt to recapture One Direction highs, it’s not yet clear exactly who Tomlinson is without them.

    Even if the songs on Walls aren't the most distinct or memorable, they come from a place of authenticity that's genuinely heartwarming and enjoyable. Like any other settled adult, he's perfectly content to stick to the reliable and Walls winds up being the most mature and natural of the ex-1D bunch.
