    I was incredibly surprised by Tomlinson's debut. Given his past in One Direction and his previous singles, I was expecting him to go down the pop road - with generic beats and uninspired lyrics. How amazed was I to discover that he was brave enough to follow the path of britpop! The melodies made me nostalgic and his voice is a delight to hear. The lyrics are honest and sometimes painful,I was incredibly surprised by Tomlinson's debut.     The massive Oasis inspiration is the easy thing to notice on Walls, as well as the lack of originality. Tomlinson needs to carve his own path soon, as most of his ex-bandmates. He is indeed talented but he needs to make sincere and original music, in order to be taken seriously. I have to admit though that Two of Us is a seriously moving song, maybe his best.

    I'm not a fan of Louis Tomlinson, but I love the album, it's really incredible, the vocals, lyrics, everything about it sounds really good.

    I loved the album, the songs and the feelings they bring, at the same time that it refers to a great nostalgia makes us addicted to the great confessions of romance. Without a doubt, Louis Tomlinson managed with this album to bring a great feeling to those who listen to him.

    Louis Tomlinson did a good job keeping true to himself and not trying to write hits for charts. Sure, a few songs are flawed but there is no way we can ignore he is, in fact, a new artist (on his own). Some lyrics are very deep and personal, Only The Brave is a great tune.

    Is very good, for his first album it was an extreme surprise the mature sound and with references to Oasis for example, with songs with references in their origins but with small autobiographical elements. Has great songs, good work.

Who loved and lost and suffered, buy you won't find any sadness in his words, if only Two Of us, a heart-wrenching ballade for his late mom. There's a little something for every taste, twelve songs in total, from the firing up Kill My Mind to theLouis Tomlinson took his time to release this album, and he did well. Walls is the story of a boy, not yet a man, who's seen too much too soon. Who loved and lost and suffered, buy you won't find any sadness in his words, if only Two Of us, a heart-wrenching ballade for his late mom. There's a little something for every taste, twelve songs in total, from the firing up Kill My Mind to the Oasis-inspired Walls (that Liam Gallagher himself approved of). But also some sweet words for someone who can not yet see the beauty in themselves in Perfect Now (the song has violons, everyone), the story of a young love (maybe too young?) in Too Young and its follow up in Always You, as well as Fearless which might just be my favorite song on the album as of now, closely followed by Walls and Only The Brave (the words "It's a church of burnt romances and I'm too far gone to pray" still get me), a song shorter than two minutes that was the perfect way to end up the album, leaving in our minds the echo of Louis' unmistakable voice.… Expand

    It's amazing. My native language isn't english, but I understood every single lyric of this. The album it's truly magical. I can't imagine a better to describe than: Authentic. He's still finding his place, is the first álbum yet. So, for me, it was worth the wait. Amazing vocals, melodies and beats. My favorite one personaly it's "Always You", it's so well produced and kept me emotional,It's amazing. My native language isn't english, but I understood every single lyric of this.     Listening to the whole album made me tear up and just sounded completely different than how I heard his singles. I feel Louis really let us into his mind through his music. His songs aren't just made for the fans but for himself. You can tell how much time he put into but the heart each song holds. I honestly am so proud of him.

    Such an emotional and personal work. You can feel all of his emotions and his sentimental side throughout the songs, since Two of Us and DLIBYH to Always You, Habit or Defenceless. For his first album, I think he was really brave to change his sound in the middle of the way and have the necessity to be 100% honest and true to his fans, and also himself. You can actually see a little bit ofSuch an emotional and personal work. You can feel all of his emotions and his sentimental side throughout the songs, since Two of Us and DLIBYH to Always You, Habit or Defenceless. For his first album, I think he was really brave to change his sound in the middle of the way and have the necessity to be 100% honest and true to his fans, and also himself. You can actually see a little bit of this midway-change during the album by comparing some songs in it, but it doesn't make the experience less magic. It's a mix, it's an experiment, a transition. It's his first album and he gave his best. This is only a small piece of what Louis is capable of as a solo artist, something that a lot of people wouldn't expect of him back in the One Direction's times, when he tried to guarantee his place as a songwriter due to the lack of attention he had on the vocals, for example. Only The Brave is the perfect ending for Walls and for what Louis still has to tell us in his next works. It sounds really personal and intimate, even though he didn't write on this track. In the middle of 11 tracks that were all written by him, we can say that he chose it for a reason, that's for sure. It's only the beginning for Louis to shine and he has all the talent for a brilliant future. "It's a solo song and it's only for the brave."… Expand

La música, los instrumentos y la voz de Louis hacen una mezcla hermosa y orgánica, realmente cuando lo escuche no pude dejar de llorar porque realmente en cada párrafo de cada canción te transmite algo. Walls es mi álbum favorito porque dejando de lado que amo cada una de las canciones, se lo que Louis tuvo que pasar paraWalls es un álbum tan sincero, Louis es un excelente compositor.     This is a beautiful work made by this talent man for his fans! Every song is well written, these lyrics tell something, it's not mainstream bulls***, it's not for sales. He puts himself in it, that's so important. Maybe it sounds a bit like one direction bc he was the one who wrote most of the band's songs, it's not a bad thing it means he is finding his way to his true self as an artist.

    If you love singer songwriter pop, with unique vocals, and refreshing, vulnerable lyrics.... this is the album for you. It’s heartfelt without being schmaltzy.... and really a tone of resilience comes through.

    Wasn't sure what to expect after reading the music critic reviews, but I don't know what album they were listening to. I was really moved by both the lyrics and the unique sound of his voice. There was a lovely sense of nostalgia for what I assume are his musical influences, and it's a breath of fresh air in today's music. Such an emotional album to have made for such a young guy, and I'mWasn't sure what to expect after reading the music critic reviews, but I don't know what album they were listening to. I was really moved by both the lyrics and the unique sound of his voice.     Cada canción tiene un toque único, expresa algo tan diferente y emocionante que hace amar cada canción al instante.
    Es simplemente uno de los mejores álbum de todos los tiempos, incluso me atrevo a decir que es el mejor trabajo de un ex 1D
    Todos son buenos, pero Walls definitivamente te deja cautivado

    Try as he may, Tomlinson has not quite progressed from featured voice to solo artist. For all the major changes in his life, his music seems to be stuck in place. You can take the boy out of the boyband, but not the boyband out of the boy.

    Even if the songs on Walls aren't the most distinct or memorable, they come from a place of authenticity that's genuinely heartwarming and enjoyable. Like any other settled adult, he's perfectly content to stick to the reliable and Walls winds up being the most mature and natural of the ex-1D bunch.
