Jun 24, 2023This is so deep once you learn the screen play and listen to what donald is saying also best album ever
-
Mar 6, 2023The "shut up I haven't shown who I am" that I required. What a great story and listen while you have the script, I think it's one of those few experiences that you require at least once in a lifetime to do.

Dec 6, 2018Donald Glover's transition to music continues with this unique project, where is personality can be felt throughout. Gambino seems to have no problem spitting aggressively over more electronic beats or stepping it back and singing a bit more.
-
Dec 4, 2018This is Childish Gambino's best album in my opinion, right beside "Awaken, My Love!". The beats mixed with Donald's slick rhymes make this a nearly flawless album. My favourite Songs are: 3005, The Worst guys, Telegraph Ave, Earth: The Oldest Computer and Life: The Biggest Troll. My least favourite track(s) would have to be Worldstar.

Jun 1, 2018Weird album but a decent one nonetheless. A lot of tracks felt pointless and like they didn't add anything.

Mar 1, 2018DONALD GLOVER IS A GENIUS! He is the definition of can't stop, won't stop. That is all.

May 1, 2017A decent record and surprised me a lot because I thought I would hate this album. Some great singles carry this album, but a lot of the songs seem like they're only filler. Some of the production seems a little too clean at times. Childish continues with his great flow, but that doesn't help with the lack of catchy or even memorable songs.

Apr 2, 2017In retrospect, this is Gambino's best album. The production value here is incredible, a blend of dreamy space synths and low basslines. Songs like Urn and Flight of the Navigator send the listener off into a dreamy headspace. The music itself acts as a drug, and its glorious. This is the album that proved Gambino could work.
-
Mar 11, 2017This is one of my favorite Gambino albums, it's fun as **** to listen to. It's not meant to change the way people rap but it goes to show how talented of an individual Donald Glover is.

Nov 15, 2016This is one of the best albums ever in my opinions. The songs are absolutely gorgeous and the production is some of the best I've ever heard. The songs are so diverse and experimental that it's almost not impossible to get at least intrigued by this album.
-
Feb 17, 2016Arguably one of my favorite rap albums of all time. He's very conceptual and heartwarming. He shows his creative mindset and his talents. the production and lyricism on this album are fascinating,

Mar 2, 2015This dodgy, terribly produced and overall unsatisfying album relies on out of place flows and low lying bass lines to keep it afloat. Glover is obviously not suited the genre bending to suit himself and portray dull and uneventful things in his life

Nov 6, 2014A rather mysterious, yet relatable album from Gambino. He's done it again, with cool beats, strange vibes, and even stranger lyrics. I love it. An overall great album from an overall great rapper, actor, and comedian. (favorite songs: 3005, The Crawl, Sweatpants)

Oct 11, 2014This album is amazing it is filled with well produced instrumentals to the songs Gambino also dabbles into some new flows with this album that he delivered very well, the features (Problem, Chance the Rapper, Jhene Aiko) are on point. But the best way to listen to the album and get a full understanding and visual of what he's saying read the script, becausetheinter.net

Mar 5, 2014Progress alone this album is a dope. The effort is there, the innovation is there and the elevation swag for lack of a better term is on point. A little emo, a little swag, and actual real words and thoughts make it awesome. Doors left open

Dec 27, 2013On first listen, I thought it was just a little too weird. A few fast paced classic Gambino type songs, but a lot of songs that brought on a feeling of melancholy. Then the second listen, and third, and so on happened. The album really grows on you. It flows really well and there are some really interesting tracks. I particularly like the way the album finishes (the last 3 tracks).
-
Dec 18, 2013Gambino continues to grow and impress with his newest album. Rap typically isn't too appealing, but Gambino makes me listen because he wants to make a point. There's always something a little deeper on every song. Definitely one of the strongest albums of the year.
-
Dec 15, 2013Sounds like any other modern rap artist. How about some Innovation? Beats that create an empty sound and bore me to death. His flow is OK, but becomes choppy at certain times.
-
Dec 13, 2013Great conceptual work. Because the Internet is such a personal album but it has the power to reach great highs when understood. It may try patience... but we're rewarded after all.

Dec 11, 2013Greatest concept album to date. My advice is to read the screenplay while listening to the album, really creates an experience to remember. Combines everything good about Yeezus with everything good about Chanel Orange. Simply amazing experience. There is definitely a song on this album for everyone.
-
Dec 11, 2013This is a very amazing album. It is pretty experimental, and it's an acquired taste. But this is definitely one of my favorite albums of the year. And the content is just so relateable and deep. The internet seems to hate Gambino strictly because of "Camp." But this is a monster improvement. I love this album, and most people that respect art and good music, will like this too.
-
Dec 11, 2013One of the best albums I've heard this year. Don't listen to the critics, they talk a lot of BS. My favorite song on this album is "The Worst Guys".....
-
Dec 11, 2013I don't listen to a lot of Hip-Hop/Rap but this guy is seriously talented. This album is amazing. The lyrics and flow of his raps are miles above most mainstream rap artists today. The production is slick and clean and the songs have twists and turns you would not expect to fit, yet they do. This album is a rap masterpiece in my opinion and I'm excited to see where he goes next.

Dec 10, 2013This is the best album Donald Glover has ever made and is one of the most unique and fascinating albums of the year. It's a hip-hop album the way Radiohead's Kid A is a rock album.
-
Dec 10, 2013Phenomenal. Please just give it a listen with an open mind. Lots of critics had really biased reviews, and barely even talked about the music. I wasn't a big fan of Camp, but Royalty got my attention. Then 'Bino dropped this quality, and innovating album which blew my mind. Amazing.
-
Dec 10, 2013love this album...wasnt expecting much from this...i had only seen his acting but this is def one of my favorite rap albums of the year. Shadows, 3005, sweatpants, worldstar, all dope songs

Dec 10, 2013Great album. Because the Internet is my favorite album of 2013, along with Acid Rap (Chance the Rapper). This album is great by itself, but if you listen to it with the screenplay (it can be found at becausetheinter.net), it takes everything to a different level of amazing.
-
Dec 10, 2013CG made a huge leap forward with this album. I find that Because the Internet sounds better after watching Clapping for the Wrong Reasons and reading the screenplay. It's very creative and top tier!

Dec 10, 2013Honestly i loved camp, but this blows it out of the water overall. From the beginning to the end Gambino keeps you engaged with his unique flow and versatile singing. i'm to lazy to go into a lot of detail just know that the album is great and shows growth and a sense of experimentation. It's as if boredom is something Gambino must avoid at all cost.
