PaulKJun 7, 2007The whole album is a huge disappointment. I found only three tracks worthy of keeping on my computer and none worthy of my ipod. They have changed to sound more like the horrible pop we hear all the time on the radio.
-
-
ChiiNJun 8, 2007OMGG I Love Linkin Park~!! Their new album is so cool~! I have "What I've Done" playing in my head/or ipod 24/7 I still love "Somewhere I Belong~!"
-
-
JimboHJun 9, 2007The variety on the CD favors buying the tracks individually after you listen to a preview because there are only 2 nu-metal songs, a couple songs that sound like a few of the other songs you hear this year, some that sound... different, and one thats not really much of a song. Definately a more mature sounding CD, but maybe thats not what everyone is listening for.

SidSJul 20, 2007It is a great change LP have brought to themselves.I liked Hybrid Theory,Meteora was great. But MTM is very very different. This Album consists of variety of genres.Bleed it out,What ive done,Shadow of the Day and Leave out all the rest are the key tracks of the album and these are the tracks that got MTM a 7 from me.

-
tylerJul 3, 2007it was a very great album.. the style was different but i enjoyed it very much so. i watched an interview on the band and they were saying that they were sick of the same sound.. many bands have replicated their old sound and they wanted something new..and i agree. great album.

peterJul 30, 2007Great sounding album, It's a step back to old fashioned song making in the form of ballads and I have no problem with that

wescAug 1, 2007it isnt all that great coming from a band like Linkin Park
-
-
DamianAug 20, 2007It's an OK album but it's nowhere as good as Meteora or Hybrid Theory.
-
-
BethB.Aug 30, 2007There's a reason why the critics are sitting at computer terminals and Linkin Park are out filling stadiums and arenas. They are musicians and they do their particular brand of music very very well.

JustynG.Mar 26, 2008This is the absolute best album I have ever heard and anyone who say Linkin Park is not music must either be deaf or or have an IQ of 50 or lower Linkin Park is the greatest band of all time and more people should realize that..

JosephP.May 6, 2008I used to love linkin park, hybrid theory and meteora were epic as was Collision Course...but this just sucked, the only song i liked was Bleed It Out because it was catchy, they need to go back to their roots.

BenFFeb 9, 2009Ok, could have been better by a lot because it is more boring than their previous albums because it has less metal and rap to it. I love "Given Up" and "Bleed It Out". "What I've Done" is okay but the sound is not very good or exciting. Meteora and Hybrid Theory are a lot better.

-
GavinM.Nov 20, 2007Me I'm a hard core linkin park fan and i stick by them no matter whot they do this album actually brought a nice change as it has some light hearted songs compared to thier previous works of art the onli song i dont like is 'No More Sorrow' as it stands out fro.m the rest when they sed they would blend them all together plus its too heavy for this album

-
MichaelBMay 14, 2007This is going to be a good album.
-
-
decklinwMay 14, 2007no more rap-rock.... instead they give you half-baked emo-rock! gimps
-
-
KayKayMay 14, 2007Maybe not their best album, but a good change. A record to be enjoyed more and more, each time you listen to it.
-
-
TuanLMay 15, 2007It may be different, but after a few listens, you'll find that there is much depth in the lyrics and that this effort, although not what we all expected, has shown growth and maturity in the band's sound.
-
-
BrentAMay 15, 2007I am fairly dissapointed with "Minutes to Midnight". They abandoned their old style and it just doesn't sound like them anymore. I also don't like how they've used more explicit content and Bush Bash.
-
-
rafaelcMay 15, 2007i actually like the album most of the songs are great, i just like hybrid theory and meteora better because i like those kind of music, theres not lots of heavy tracks and also i think linkin park was trying to please the critics more instead of the fans....i hope that that linkin parkwill make another album but a mix of this kind of songs and their old ones..linkinPARK RuLEs
-
-
AndrewNMay 15, 2007It will grow on me. I am not that impressed for all the recording time the said that they did. The album seems more emotional than their last albums, but I wish that it had some heavier songs.
-
-
Air1MMay 15, 2007Bottomline....The album is Intense with melody! Beware!!! There is a fake promo floating around for those downloaders. So Im sure many of the naysayers are hearing the fake. This one is Linkin Park and yes with rap, intense screaming and crunching metal riffs!!!! There are a a few ballads but its perfect for variety! I asure all readers this one is their best!
-
-
ChrisHMay 15, 2007The album is not very good. Too much singing. There isn't a good favorite on the cd. I hope it becomes an aquired taste.

Busted...May 16, 2007Not what I was expecting. I thought a heavier sound was in the line up. The electronic beats just aren't as powerful as before; they all seem composed of borrowed sounds. A little too U2 for me
-
-
BradLMay 16, 2007How did this album get such a low score? It's amazing!
-
-
mattgMay 16, 2007I hate all the people that say this is a result of the band maturing... What putting out a cd that (except for like 3 tracks) emo ,put you to sleep tunes ?They even include politics throughout the cd which i felt was a big mistake and brings it down. LP strayed far from its style and alienated like 80% of its fanbase with this cd.. Pure disappointment...
-
-
jasontMay 16, 2007this is worse than the kevin federline record. a 0/0 is still too high for an atrocious record like this one.

RCMay 16, 2007These guys sucked ALL ALONG. You fans that are so shocked at this record must not have been listening in the first place. DREADFUL.
-
-
jessesMay 17, 2007Not the old Linkin Park, and for the worse. They have declined in musical maturity and have turned to the same emo/political oriented songs as other artists. They throw around obscene words just to draw attention with little or no purpose at all. They are only going down hill from here.

-
TamiHMay 17, 2007I gave this a 5 because I only liked 1/2 of the songs. The songs that rock, really rock, but the slow songs - way too many slow emo songs. In an album that only has 11 songs (I don't count the minute-and-a-half instrumental), that sucks. I was so looking foward to this album - all I can say is that I'm disappointed. As another user said, I miss my old Linkin Park.
-
-
DanAMay 17, 2007Very impressive new direction, hard to compare with the last two albums. the album has a heavier and darker feel. i love the album. coldplay wtf??? similar to deftones or even ffaf in my opinion. love in pieces, in between, valentines day
-
-
chrsMay 18, 2007At 1st i was disappointed as the last 2 albums have been excellent and i loved thier rap rock style. but the more i have listened to this album the more it has grown on me. their are a few songs i have to skip but most off them will be added to my play list. still i would love another album like hybrid theory
-
-
ArpadCMay 18, 2007Being a Linkin Park fan for almost 5 years, I'm so glad that they are brave and try to live up to a higher level. Yes, this album is no rap-metal/nu-metal, but is more mature and deeply-emotional. The lyrics are critical for social, political, and environmental issues. I'm very proud of you, Linkin Park, so keep going!!!

cleopatrajMay 19, 2007wow. i mean, linkin park was pretty terrible fm schlock before, but this shit is laughable.
-
-
MimiKMay 19, 2007This cd is amazing; no matter what you critics say, this band has put their upmost effort and love into the making of this cd and have been honest to their band's motivations and standings. If this can't be admired, then you critics just don't have any f'ing loyalty.
-
-
DanArtzMay 19, 2007The professional reviews are an outrage. This record proves to easily be Linkin Park's greatest album. The record might not cling to any genres. However, instead it uses every rock genre to show it's own true potential. I respect their move and I highly disagree with Linkin Park copying a band as shitty as u2
-
-
KatAMay 19, 2007its different but its good. the more i listen to it the more i like it. and to the people saying that they sound like fall out boy... fall out boy is actually good. you would know this if you actually listened to them. i hate people that say they hate a band and have never even listened to more than one of their songs. and this cd sounds more like U2 than fall out boy.
-
-
JaymeeBMay 19, 2007Im just a little disapointed with this album i luv linkin park but this it's linkin park what happened to hard rock like the ablum Meterora? Minutes to Midnight is a good album but needs to be more harder than softer
-
-
CarlBMay 19, 2007Minutes to midnight shows linkin park trying to progress, much in the same way bands like incubus have. Seemingly Ditching there more metal roots for an alt. rock sound and whilst minutes to midnight shows a step in that direction it doesnt compare to previous efforts. There is a great deal of potention on this album which is let down by an overall poor production value.
-
-
QiangMay 19, 2007The album is stupid. Hey above! You should try some shit to eat. You may love it! And after the meal, plz give a "10" and two thumbs to it.
-
-
TimJMay 19, 2007Great album from top to bottom Don't listen to the musically challenged reviews. The quality of the music is far better then what they have done before.
-
-
DanielMay 19, 2007This band, instead of moving forward, has devolved. This album is not as good, or anywhere near as good, as Hybrid Theory (or even Meteora) in any aspect. Do not buy this.
-
-
JohnPMay 21, 2007why do people say this album's horrible? it's not the old linkin park, but the guitarist has improved a LOT and it's a very ecletic album. a couple hard songs and some great radio-friendly songs. best songs are in pieces and TLTGYA

BillyKMay 21, 2007
-
-
DennisWMay 21, 2007This is awful.......Linkin Park has jumped from one trend to another, They've always been devoid of any organic sound and any depth, and they try too hard for both here. The paint by numbers music of the past has been replaced by scribble.

ClaySMay 22, 2007Track #6 is the midpoint on a slide from mediocre Linkin Park to simply unlistenable. I would rather listen to Barry Manilo then the last 6 tracks. couldnt even pawn this thing off to a hardcore Linkin Park fan for $5!
-
-
JackLMay 20, 2007They were "ok" before. I got a fair amount of enjoyment out of Hybrid Theory and Metora, but enough is enough. They're just playing the same old songs but with different notes. Time to branch out a little, and maybe read a book or two so you can write some intelligent lyrics.

ToddWMay 24, 2007My children think these guys are gods. And you would hope that having Rick Rubin behind the board would bring out the best in these schizophrenic songsters. Uh, nope. They still suck. It just goes to prove the old adage that you really can't make chicken cordon bleu out of guano.
-

MaarMay 27, 2007This CD is utter garbage. Makes an ok drink coaster for my computer desk.
-
-
KevinCMay 28, 2007I've been a LP fan since the beginning, and this is absolute crap. The only track worth listening to is Bleed it Out. They tried to do something different but ended up sounding like every crappy alternative rock band out there. nothing interesting going on. why did I buy this?

RichSMay 29, 2007As someone who's loved LP for as long as they've been around, and even counting the days until the CD was released, but all this CD makes me do is laugh at how bad they sound because they went from good rock/rap emo to something that just sucks.

The California rap-rockers are stymied by their decision to stay roughly within the shrieky boundaries of their genre (albeit with less emphasis on the rap).
-
Amid the stabs at growth, every new effect sounds borrowed.
-
As you might imagine, the band’s emo makeover doesn’t always go smoothly.
