First of all, my favorite album from her is Teenage Dream, but this one is her best album. I really don't understand why people don't like this album, this album has her best lyrics, her best vocal... Now she really sounds like a woman. Katy's best album so far! Waiting for her next album so I can say it again. In this album you can find everything. Musics to dance, to love, to cry, to think about your life and even to pray. Katy really knows how to do it!

This album is full of light! Katy has evolved from her One Of The Boys days, to Teenage Dream until PRISM; we can appreciate something different in each song, from Roar to Choose Your Battles each one has a special meaning and a different spectrum but all together in the PRISM record. This album shows Katy going from a dark moment to a light ful one. The PRISM record is an absolute piece of art

"Prism" sounds more like a "Teenage Dream 2", but it works very well to show again the fun pop vein of Katy Perry. Expand

5 points off because the album feels like it should spawn hits, and that is not artistic development.

You will dance to it and enjoy some non-dull tracks, but overall it's just another pop release. No surprises, innovations, or risks here.

It lacks life and meaning. A generic album that is only for money making schemes. Abosolutey no art and life to the songwriting. The songs might be catchy but it is just one of those catchy songs that really don't make sense. Double Rainbow is the only standout to this horrible compilation. The most surprising thing is that here sex isn't a lyrical object, unlike Bangerz, ARTPOP, and above all, unlike Teenage Dream.

Juvenile songs screeched in a pitchy voice. Katy claimed this would be her darkest album yet, she still insists on childish songs like 'This is How We Do' and 'Birthday'. It was clear that all Katy was thinking about when "writing" this album was number 1's and chart hits rather than her emotions.
    Considering she's almost 31, it's almost embarrassing.

Legendary Lovers is ok, but all the other songs are horrible. Auto-tune on almost every single song, very cliche lyrics and her voice is standardly annoying & whiny just like in all of the previous albums.

She hasn't found herself, she really tried this time but failed because is some experiment, the evolution of her last release, Teenage Dream. This time Katy faced the mainstream project including (or trying) dark expressions of her last failed relationship with Russell Brand. Katy Perry has come a long way. This is almost the raw emotion and fun of her life since her last album. Every song is either really personal or just fun. Her aim was just to do what she wanted to do and not win awards and be #1.

This album is not a masterpiece, but it shows how much Katy matured during those 3 years. It's not as commercial as Teenage Dream, but it has some hits like Legendary Lovers, Dark Horse and Unconditionally. Teenage Dream was so "made for party hard", but this album has both sides. The first part (1-8) shows the "fun" moment of the album, while the second (9-16) shows the strong lyrics and productions, really relevant songs. Special attention to the bonus tracks; these three tracks are her best songs ever: It Takes Two, Spiritual (I feel a piece of Alanis Morissette listening to it) and Choose Your Battles (this and By The Grace Of God both were co-produced by her). No need too much to realize that she took a step forward in her career, she just needs to focus more in her music, not only the charts. Expand

It's very evident that she has pulled in Max Martin, Dr. Luke, [&] Bonnie McKee [the “Dream Team”], etc., back into the studio. An underwhelming follow-up to her previous album 'Teenage Dream', 'PRISM' simply revisits many elements from her past works. Although promised for a darker change in musical and artistic style, Katy Perry instead plays it safe and sticks to the same mediocre music made for the charts; made to sell. Perry sticks to the same formula, yet this time executes it poorly.

Katy Perry abused to be the same as ever, without growing or propose as an artist: she is not an artist. She just wants to sell tracks as stupid as "Cause I am a champion and you're gonna hear me roar".
