    This album shows not only artistic growth both lyrically or sonically, but it is Perry's first album that is mature and greets her into adulthood.

    When the songs are good they are well executed pop milestones that stick almost as well as the previous "California girls " . From the motivational lead "roar" to the confident bop "dark horse" it's very easy listening. Even it's more commercially modest tracks like "birthday"&"walking on air" succeed in making you belt your heart out terribly in the bathroom. But the other songs on theWhen the songs are good they are well executed pop milestones that stick almost as well as the previous "California girls " . From the motivational lead "roar" to the confident bop "dark horse" it's very easy listening. Even it's more commercially modest tracks like "birthday"&"walking on air" succeed in making you belt your heart out terribly in the bathroom. But the other songs on the album exempt from the sheen of nostalgic bog down the record and earn instantaneous skips. Without trying to sound condescending i think Katy Perry works best under the constraints of a single and often pales in the confines of a full length record. But even so this makes for a fun listen.… Expand

    Literally her best album (Teenage Dream can accurate). So well constructed. So many pop catchy songs, and lyrically PERFECT! Better listen to - 'Unconditionally', 'Walking On Air', 'Legendary Lovers', 'Birthday', 'Spiritual', 'Double Rainbow'... Deserved better!!!

    Her most spiritual album and also her best yet. The album concept perfectly suits the album cover. She describes how good life is, she's in her spiritual and legendary state of her career. So far "International Smile, Roar and Ghost" are my favorite songs.

The album has its good sound, strong compositions, but at the same time its best songs are at the end where we have no reach and we are already sick of listening to many songs and perhaps even with the same pop sound as Teenage Dream.     Prism is a fun, listenable pop album. I’m mean yes it isn’t the best lyrically but it’s a very enjoyable. My favorites are Roar, Legendary Lovers, Ghost, Unconditionally, By the grace of god, and It takes two.

    My least favorites are Choose your Battles

    This is easily the best album by Katy Perry. She sounds like a grown woman, who finally found herself after a Teenage Dream. This album might not be as successful as Teenage Dream, but artistically speaking, it is a more mature album.

She has megahits, but other song are... hm, they do sound flat for me. But not on Prism. All singles are my favourite, plus Legendary Lovers sounds really good and it's shame it's not another album's single. The rest of the songs arent bad either. All of them are listenable.     SUCESSOR NATURAL. Um dos melhores da Katy Perry, O PRISM chega com o hino aclamado roar que lhe rendeu mais um #1 pra conta. Iluminado, alegre, porém com um lado também obscuro, o prism mostra a evolução da Katy Perry em realçao ao TD. O único erro foi não ter tornado LL single, mas nós a perdoamos por isso.

    Balance! KP3 brings the best of the first album (A clean and smooth voice) intrinsic to the trump card of the second album (The childish and repetitive pop footprint). The PRISM repertoire may have been poorly structured, but by doing a deeper analysis (and filtering), you can put aside those commercial songs and capture the real sense of "transmitting the light" idealized by theBalance! KP3 brings the best of the first album (A clean and smooth voice) intrinsic to the trump card of the second album (The childish and repetitive pop footprint). The PRISM repertoire may have been poorly structured, but by doing a deeper analysis (and filtering), you can put aside those commercial songs and capture the real sense of "transmitting the light" idealized by the sunflowers on the cover. Songs like "Spiritual", "Double Rainbow" and "By The Grace of God" reveal the purity of Perry's heart, show the artist's evolution in song interpretation, and the production's maturity in taking the best of the 2 predecessors, and apply evenly in this.
    In addition to those already mentioned, the songs "Unconditionally" and "Dark Horse" deserve special mention.

Na primeira parte é totalmente um pop parecido com o seu album antigo, teenage dream, mas claro com um toque amadurecimento. Já na segunda parte katy aprofunda em temas que ela não havia escrito antestrazendo luz igual um prisma o terceiro álbum de estúdio da cantora surpreendeu a todos os fã que acharam que iriam ganhar uma era dark, entretanto ela entrega um trabalho repleto de luz. Na primeira parte é totalmente um pop parecido com o seu album antigo, teenage dream, mas claro com um toque amadurecimento. Já na segunda parte katy aprofunda em temas que ela não havia escrito antes como depressão além de fazer novamente música sobre amor próprio e sobre relacionamentos passados.     This album is incredible. Shows us the artistic evolution of Katy Perry, as well as great successes like Roar. Katy proved to be an incredible artist in this musical work.

    The album is divided into two parts. The 1st half is radio friendly dance tracks that Katy excells in bringing a pop banger. The second half is a more personal and intimate experience sharing stories of Katys life and show topics of resilience and growth. Katy shows her strength in powerful empowerment songs.
