    When you read such negative reviews, you trust that they are right, but when you listen to the full album, you are shocked because they are wrong, it is personal. The album is the best work by Katy Perry since PRISM. It's the album I needed this year, it's the album we all should listen to. Talking about forgiveness, improvement, empowerment, happiness and resilience is just perfect.

Then it was followed by Cry About It Later, which for me was the most Catchiest song in the album (excluding Never Really Over). then it all went along with the other tracks. Its very beautiful and Inspiring.     KP5 aka Smile is, unexpectedly, her best work yet. Unexpectedly is the key word when describing Smile. While there are definitely tracks that sound very familiar with her previous work (for example, Not the End of the World, the younger sister of Dark Horse and Black Widow) Smile sounds like a brand new Katy Perry, like the story of how Katheryn Hudson was so close to lose herself during and after the Witness era, a very misunderstood and mistreated musical moment in its own right, and rebuilt herself brick by brick. Never Really Over, Cry About It Later and Teary Eyes are the first chapter of the story. Pure pop bops each carrying the message of never being over, of taking a break for the sake of your mental health, and face the darkness with teary eyes. The production of the album is great, cry about it later is a collapse, the best of the album I would say, next to never really over, of course. The production of the album is great, cry about it later is a collapse, the best of the album I would say, next to never really over, of course.     Este álbum demuestra cómo puedes encontrar tu sonrisa luego de malos momentos en tu vida, además demuestra el cambio de una chica a una mujer, muy maduro y a la vez tan divertido y dulce. Una artista muy diversa en letra, sonido y videografía.

    Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.

    Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
