    Smile is a perfect Katy Perry Album. The Disco genre is pretty famous at the moment and we couldnt expect less than she giving it her magic touch on her brand new album! It just amazes me how good she is on making bops. She done EVERYTHING she promised. Im not disapointed at all. Im actually surprised.

    Smile is probably the best album album i’ve ever heard. Songs like Teary Eyes, Tucked and especially Not The End Of The World are hit materials. I love this one so much!

    That’s literally good body work. That’s not 10/10, but I don’t agree with critics, why do they always try to make her dirty? That’s unprofessional at all. Album feels like a story with 4 chapters. And it really works! That’s obviously one of the pest pop album this year, Katy did that, again.

The album tells the story of how Katy Perry recovered her smile, bringing a cover that ironizes the album's name, referring to a moment in her life when she compared to the famous "sad clown". We can divide the album into trios of songs that tell a story and talk to each other. Starting with "Never Really Over", "Cry About it Later" and "Teary Eyes", we can call it the "pain" part in Smile, where despite the pain, Katy gives us the feeling of moving forward "dancing", are songs that fit perfectly in her sonority. Next we have the trilogy "Daisies", "Resilient" and "Not the End of the World", in which we can call this trio "overcoming", where Perry presents the path of healing, from these songs Katy shows how she recovered her smile. The next trilogy is "Smile", "Champagne Problems" and "Tucked", we can call it "happiness", taking into account that this happiness was the result of the "overcoming" she had in the past trilogy. Finally, we have the last trilogy "Harleys in Hawaii", "Only Love" and "What Makes A Woman", where we can call "the love", since in these songs Katy expresses about different forms of love.     With Smile, Katy has given something Fresh and new, yet familiar at the same time. Katy just comes off so naturally and effortless on this album! Whereas on Witness, IMO, Katy was trying too hard. As much as I love Witness, there were many weak moments in the album and I felt like the message on the album was a bit scattered (maybe because she added too much tracks which resulted theWith Smile, Katy has given something Fresh and new, yet familiar at the same time.     Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.

    While Perry finds the occasional moment of quality here (Smile and Tucked both feel like the best possible music we could get from Katy Perry in 2020), Smile is an album searching for an identity—and when it fails, it falls back on lazy writing.

    Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
