Os "críticos" sempre cobraram uma mudança na sonoridade dela, e quando trouxe algo diferente em 2017 com o "Witness", foi massacrada da mesma forma. É um loop infinito de ódio. Comparam a carreira dela atualmente com os grandes sucessos do passado, como se issoUm álbum ótimo. É tóxico e desrespeitoso em alguns casos.

    For me, Katy has matured so much in her own art. She has always been trying to experience with new sounds, words. This album is a worthy record that you should spend at least 10 times listening to work out the messages Katy put in.

    Katy actually delivered a good album. There's literally no skips at all. Also, knowing the fact that she healed from what she's been thru and now that she finally got back her smile and herself makes this even better. Beautiful lyrics, pop bangers, uplifting anthems, she has it all here!

This is easily katy's best album, there are 0 skips bc i this kind of katy perry really is my style of music.     Smile is a personal album of Katy. She never disappoints me. I especially love Harley's in Hawaii, one of the best songs released by Katy, Never Really Over, Smile, What Makes A Woman and Daisies. I love you, Katy. You rock mama. ❤️

    Um álbum com mensagens incríveis e que infelizmente a crítica insiste em pega no pé da Katy a troco de nada. Mas enfim, quem deve se agradar do álbum é o público e não a crítica. Passar bem Rolling Stones!

    Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.

    While Perry finds the occasional moment of quality here (Smile and Tucked both feel like the best possible music we could get from Katy Perry in 2020), Smile is an album searching for an identity—and when it fails, it falls back on lazy writing.

    Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
