TomPOct 28, 2006The former underground kings of emo turned Queen cover band deliver a disc full of cheesy powerpop with lyrics that rival Aaron Carter. Fashioncore taken to a new low.
-
-
AdamTOct 28, 2006It's surprisingly amazing.
-
-
ColinHOct 28, 2006Friggen amazing. Makes Green Day's "American Idiot" feel like NSync. This is the way modern rock should be. "Disenchanted" may be the best song of the year.

rockom.Oct 29, 2006I wasn't a fan of My Chemical Romance before this. My girlfriend fell in love with them and I sort of resented their theatrics. But, this album has made a fan of me. It's impressively organized and by the time Liza Minelli rolls around, she doesn't seem to be out-of-place at all. Great stuff!

-
MikeT.Nov 14, 2007The first four tracks are for the fans who wanted more "Three Cheers", but the rest is pure unadulterated rock in an entirely new, entirely impressive vein. Take it from someone who hated MCR prior to "The Black Parade" -- this is their best effort to date, and one of the best albums in recent memory.

GuyHumourNov 16, 2007MCR are the worlds best band using volume speed and great instruments, they've created a great generation of music!

-
AlexW.Oct 14, 2007This album was an assault on my ears. No musicality or talent beyond working an overwrought 'emo' image that is slowly but surely falling out of favour.

KateBJan 21, 2007Fantastically brilliant. This album has replaced 'The Joshua Tree' as my favorite album of all time. I cannot get enough of it!

-
TBoneJan 21, 2007I think this album successfully mixes Queen, Screamo and 80s power ballads. I'm usually one of those snob critics taht doesnt like anything I didn't discover but I have to give this album credit. Kids in the mall might like this, that doesnt necessarily make it suck. It sounds good pretty much start to finish and has lasted in my playlist for a couple months.

-
HeatherC.Dec 21, 2007Not emo at all. With things like, "I am not afraid to keep on living" it is a message of hope. Sure they are... not so good live, but the message and the album is solid. Only reason why it's not a 10 is since I could live without ever hearing mama again. ugh. if they only put out that killer b-side "Kill all your friends" (pun intended).

-
SteveGJan 27, 2007Why does everone think this band is so good?! Just listen to the guys voice.

-
TristanVJan 28, 2007i agree with Jud S 100%. i gave them a 2 bedause their guitar player is pretty good. other than then that the band is nothing

BOBKJan 31, 2007Having seen the Beatles on Ed Sullvan in 1964 at the age of 9 it seems harder and harder to find an album I want to play over and over after the first listen (Include some GBV Muse Radiohead). This thing kicks like a mule while being poignent and pointed. I wish my classic rock listening fellow fifty somethings would leave their doors open to let these boys blow in.

JenniferHFeb 13, 2007I am 46 years old and bought this CD based on a New York Times article. I'm not panting over Gerard Way's looksand I have no dog in the emo-indie-etc. fight, in other words. This CD blew me away completely with its theatricality, musicality and poignancy. Yes, some reminders of Green Day, Queen and Bowie, but in a good way. Catchy, humorous and raucous--who could ask for anything more?

ChristyCMar 23, 2008Dude this CD ROCKS!!!! I don't understand how some of you could rate it so low!!! The songs are brilliant, the lyrics are awesome, AND GERARD WAYS VOICE DOES NOT SUCK TO THAT PERSON WHO SAID IT DID!!!! THis band has awesome talent and I can see them going far in their musical carrier.

CaitlinR.May 27, 2009Not their best album...but their other albums didn't have gems such as the hidden track and "Mama" on it.

-
MattNov 11, 2006Shit production for something made in 2006, whining, shit voice, shit guitar work, shit song structures and wont stand the test of time, ever to people who think their die hard MCR fans today, 10 years time no one will ever remember it unlike metallicas, megadeths and slayers first albums.

rebeccakDec 11, 2006Amazing. Simply amazing. This album is an example of rock at its best. Each track is diverse, from a flowing "I Don't Love You" to a F.U., fun "Teenagers" to an almost 'old Italian' sounding "Mama." How can you not become addicted to atleast one of these songs?

JohnDec 14, 2007I love this album! There is such a range in this as each song is very different from the other. Every song is great and most are memorable. One of my favorite albums, and one of the rare ones where I find every single song great. It rocks!

Dec 4, 2016This album is truly outstanding. A concept album that most people can relate to at some point. Tracks like 'Cancer' and 'Welcome to the Black Parade' are full of emotion and story, where as 'Mama' and 'House of Wolves' are full of instrumental power. This album proves that MCR are no Emo band, but a proper rock band.

Apr 29, 2012This is a concept album that is so much more than just a story, it's actually got depth, meaning and substance. And what's more, it's a proper rock album.

Feb 13, 2023A great record. Never thought they would get this good after their first 2 records.
-
Jan 12, 2015The best album by My Chemical Romance. The Black Parade perfectly showcases the musical talents, innovative style and almost wacky theatrics of the band. Mama and Blood are examples of some parts maybe sounding slightly too similar to each other, but it features many songs which provoke different emotions to the one before and that is something not many artists can do a heartless b*stard like me.
-
Jun 10, 2015Every single song stand out in its unique way. The lyrics seem to come from the soul. If you have ever heard "Welcome to the Black Parade" and liked it than this album will be your next love.
-
Jul 21, 2015The album has an amazing storyline and all the songs have a powerful message, especially the amazing Famous Last Words and Welcome to the Black Parade.
-
-
Dec 21, 2015In my opinion, it is hard to have a better album than this. All the songs are great (including the slower ones). It is also is a great rock opera. If you get the chance, I highly recommend getting this album.

Dec 23, 2015The Black Parade é um álbum incrível! Gerard Way está no auge da sua voz e as músicas tem ótimas letras, além da ótima instrumental. O ponto alto da carreira de MCR.
Pontos altos: The Sharpest Lives, Sleep, Cancer
Pontos baixos: Blood, The End., Disenchanted -
Jan 28, 2016Each song could be a single and become a worldwide hit. There's an overwhelming amount of emotions from the very beginning to the very end of the album, one of my all-time favourite records.

Mar 18, 2018This is how a band should evolve. A first album that sounded like unfinished demos followed by a rock opera sophomore attempt. With years, TBP gets even better and better and it's going to be remembered as one of the best albums of the 21st century.
Standouts are: The End/Dead, The Sharpest Lives and Welcome to the Black Parade. -
Dec 3, 2016This has the best songs of the band has ever made ever! I don't know how much times I listened to this perfect album but it is the best album they have made and that's all I can say.

Nov 30, 2017Ugh, how can this band put amazing album after amazing album? I can't even decide if I like "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge" as much or more than this. They haven't put out one bad thing and "The Black Parade" is no exception. This album is so full of life which is ironic because it's about a dying patient. I just love this album to pieces! A+

-
Mar 30, 2018An amazing album that definitely lives up to the expectations set by MCR's previous records "I Brought You My Bullets..." and "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge". Gerard Way's vocals are so gripping.
Best Tracks: Welcome To The Black Parade, Mama, Famous Last Words
Worst Tracks: N/A -
Apr 15, 2018This album is really good throughout. This is pretty much a perfect album. Some depressing but fantastic tracks, some catchy hooky songs and some utterly spectacular tracks, it is quite hard to find legitimate flaws with the album without nitpicking. Even the "weaker" songs are great. Definitely MCR's best album. No question!

Feb 6, 2021One of the best emo albums ever. Most enjoyed by all Killjoys. Most classic rock fans will love this albums. It is a modern classic. With it's sound it creates a interesting concept for a album. A man dies on a hospital bed and goes through his thoughts. And we the listeners are placed in his mind. All songs are fantastic. Example of a perfect album.

-
Jan 4, 2022Overrated album. I love MCR, but i always show critisism where its due. This album has a lot of bad songs and annoying ones (WTTBP, Mama, TIBID,Blood). Some actual masterpieces get left in the shadow, mainly Disenchanted. I can see this album as an OKAY listen but some songs are jusr so bad I wanna remove it from existence

May 18, 2023a wonderfully dramatic rock opera. this is mcr's magnum opus. i think this is one of the more interesting ways i've seen a band approach death, and i think mcr managed to be dramatic and edgy, but not to where it removed from the experience of the album. just sit back and devote your attention to the album, and bathe in the edginess.
-
May 27, 2023This Album Is awesome, I really enjoy all the songs, especially "mama", this is the best song i was listen, thanks MCR
