A light 8 out of 10. This album is good. Most of the tracks are decent but few of them stand out as amazing songs. Some highlights include Fake My Death, Twisted By Design and There Will Be Blood. None of the tracks stand out as being the worst track of the album but if I had to pick one, it'd probably be something like Breaking the Chain

Sum 41's best stuff since their masterpiece "Chuck", I appreciate the fact that with Breaking The Chains they've taken inspiration from Linkin Park's Minutes To Midnight and Goddamn I'm Dead Again's solo is something unique.
    Welcome back Sums!

Sum 41's 13 Voices is a masterpiece. It's the closest thing we'll ever get to another Chuck. This album sounds like a cross between Screaming Bloody Murder and Chuck. This album is far superior to Green Day's radio friendly, commercially accessible, Revolution Radio. While Green Day focused more on topping the Billboard Charts, Sum 41 focused on making epic high quality heavy music. TheSum 41's 13 Voices is a masterpiece. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This album is one of the best 2016 releases on the Rock scene. As a fan of the band since a long time i was waiting for so long for a new record. 13 Voices have such awesome songs that does the job of suceed in the same level the predecessor Screaming Bloody Murder. Really i'm in love with this album, the message on Deryck lyrics about feels on the road again and how you get a second chance for life on songs like''Goddamn i'm Dead Again'', ''Breaking The Chain' and ''Twisted By Desing''. The reflections of the meaning of life in ''War''. And of course the **** everyone who step on my way in ''A Murder Of Crows'' and ''Fake My Own Death''. Expand

I'm so glad that Sum 41 stayed with the more mature tone that they established with Chuck and Screaming Bloody Murder. Exploring many socio-political themes like alcoholism (War) and freedom (Breaking The Chain), 13 Voices is easily the Sum's best album in years.

I was really excited for this album and have followed it ever since the kickstarter started. Sum 41 has been a favourite band of mine for a while. This band is consistent and I love it! Expand

I don't normally write reviews. For this album, I've made an exception. I've been a Sum 41 fan for many years, since the days of In Too Deep and Fat Lip. Since then, after Dave left, the albums became less heavy and less interesting - but still with some excellent stand out tracks. We've had to wait a while for the new album, after Deryck's alcohol issues and obviously his wellbeing has been priority.
    It was worth the wait.
The new album is full of great punk songs. They pack a punch and lyrically showcase all the Deryck has been through since his collapse a few years ago. Stand out tracks include War, 13 Voices, God Save us all and Twisted by Design.

If you are a fan of Sum 41, or a fan of pop-punk, you should enjoy this album.

Best Album Since Chuck. 13 Voices is a really meaningful album for everyone who love the Sums or gone through tough moments in life. Strong lyrics, powerful guitars, and some awesome songs.
My plus : Goddamn I'm Dead Again, 13 Voices.

    So f*cking good!
I was really hyped by this album, so when I clicked the first song (A Murder of Crows) I was kinda worried, but I was not dissapointed. (Although the song took forever to "start", the build up was amazing) The whole album has a Punk Rock feel to it, the only song that is a little bit out of place is War. Really good album, 10/10 the best realease yet. (California by Blink-182 taking second place, for now, I have to check out Revolution Radio)

It was always going to be difficult for Sum 41 to release an album on the same day as Green Day. In this case, Green Day has come out on top with their triumphant return, whilst 13 Voices gets pulled back by its very familiar sound. They give off a Linkin Park or Bullet For My Valentine vibe at various points on this new record, which isn't a bad thing because they're fantastic bands, but it all sounds like something we've heard before. And for my taste, it is lacking a happy song of sorts. I understand how a lot of the tracks have deep and personal meanings, but again to draw comparisons with Revolution Radio which dealt a lot with the bands troubles post 2012, they failed to fit at least one light hearted and fun loving song, from which they gained their fame, like Green Day did. Don't get me wrong, it's a good album, with some great songs and it's definitely worth a listen to if you get the chance, but I'm not entirely sold on the idea of Sum 41 dropping the unique sound and vibes that I got to know and love them by. I once used to say "oh that band sounds like Sum 41", but now I find myself saying "Sum 41 sounds like..." and thats a bit irritating. Collapse

I've listened to the album 3 times now and it's great effort from Sum 41, Today 3 punk albums was released, 1 by Green day, 1 by NOFX and 1 by Sum 41. I would say that the most interesting album is by far by Sum 41. Songs that can be hits and doesn't feel like a phoned in effort. The mix is not the best in the world but it sounds like Sum 41 and that is the best point.

Let's start this review by saying that this is the album of the year in the genre. One listen through the album and this is already my favorite Sum 41 record EVER! The guitars on this albums are just perfect. The return of Brownsound really meant much to this band. The guitar solo in Goddamn I'm Dead Again is just fantastic. Guitar riffs that come out of nowhere and surprise you are phenomenal. Frank Zummo. Now this guy is a beast. The drumming on this record is just perfect. The catchy melodies and choruses and instrumentals with violins really combine into a hell of a record. There's not even one bad thing about this album. Thank you Sum 41 for great music. Expand

It's execution is what makes it Sum 41's finest offering to date. [15 Oct 2016, p.50]

"Breaking The Chain" and "War", give off a Linkin Park vibe for the 2000-2008 era of MTV and help prop 13 Voices up as one of the band's most radio-friendly and accessible albums to date. They do however take away from the rawness and grit diehards came for.

Taking into account Whibley's dramatic and life-altering experiences, the hits land harder than ever, resulting in Sum 41's most honest and sincere album yet.
