    Experimental and yet so familiar. New, but nostalgic. Adele sounds better than ever and the album is filled with masterpieces. There is a bit everything in here: classic Adele, 2 or 3 bops and therapeutic anthems. More than an album, 30 is an experience, and a powerful one at that.

    This heartbreak coming during her most transitional age 30,one that signifies the crux of adulthood and the age of definitive change, things present throughout this record's maturity. There are no fingers pointed (unless sometimes to herself) and she navigates the fine line between acknowledgement &self depreciation.

    A lot has happened to Adele in overwhelmingly short periods from her debut to her breakthrough to her marriage and motherhood and now to her breakdown framed through the lense of a shifting paradigm. Her divorce is a supporting character in this record showing up for a few scenes and disappearing for a few songs giving the album space to breathe.
    The intro begins with an almost camp dramatic couplet set to the most uncharacteristically Adele sounding production. We know that she is taking stock of herself, saying goodbye to moment's past. "Strangers by nature" feels like an astronaut setting foot on an alien planet light years away after waking up from hibernation:scared but aware of the fact they can't go back and this strange world would be their new normal.
    Epiphanies like that spot the record and probably prompted her strength to leave that nuclear world she'd tried to build.

    Following that the record breaking single that despite having been underwhelming as a lead is a necessary component in the records process. She is not asking for pity but that they be understanding of her story. "Easy on Me" can be applied to Adele, her son or her ex- husband. It's the first revealing song in an album filled to the brim with them reaching a breaking point when she gives up on biting the bullet to put them first.

    "My little love " sequels "Remedy" off of 25 but here is set to black. Sounding more somber both musically &lyrically. It's scenes between the despondent depression clouding Adele and Angelo's innocent confusion and fear make this a poignant conversation most products of divorce could remember feeling or having. The addition of the private voice recordings don't ruin the songs momentum elevating it to new highs on Adele's consistent discography.

    Like in all encompassing grief comes few moments of reprieve that while still in it find buoyancy in a more cathartic release,this is the case in "cry your heart out". Even beginning with the chorus seems significant to seeking out the best part first when in the thick of it and here despite the deceptively upbeat delivery she's a ghost cosplaying as a person. She is using an old map to find herself on new terrain coming to a black wall ("i created this storm it's only fair i have to sit in it ")but that only lasts so long before the recovering "oh my god" stomps in. She's losing herself in other people she's finding excitement in the release but under tge condition it must be able to be love again. Here she's almost fed up saying how she's made her choices abd that she doesn't need to justify them to us(the public) it's one of the most outrageously pop moments on here which turn into a pray for strength during the bridge.

    "Can i get it" is so fun despite the subject matter being so frustrating. She's looking for a relationship whilst the single world around her is looking for fun. It's funny how the song is built up by these genuine heartfelt wishes only to crash against a plea to fuk. It's a sobering moment for Adele to realize that love as difficult as it is to sustain is just as difficult as it is to find . No one is serious. This calls on the black current as a glass is half empty on the "I drink wine". Performed in her special we were given a taste of just how grown this record was but on the studio version it's severe. Touched by church sent choral backing vocals her crisis feels religious. Her loss so important. It's a sensitive Elton John-esque monologue that feels shorter than it's runtime suggest. A full composition not too out of place in a opera. It's mournful but glad it's moving past it to something else.    … Expand

The production is outstanding, love the cinematic quality; I really love how she experimented with different sounds and genres on this album and doing more upbeat music while still having her classic slower and ballad type songs she in my opinion really pulled it off. The artwork as always is simple but effective and very beautifully photographed. Also I thought the voice notes on some of the songs were a nice touch that made the album feel just that bit more personal. This is by far the best album I've heard all year, just absolutely perfect an A+ album, and definitely one of the all-time greatest albums I've ever heard.… Expand

    Wow. This was not the album I was expecting. Growing up, I have fond memories of listening to Adele’s music through Pandora with my family when we went on road trips to visit my grandparents. Her music has always been like a comforting hug to me. I love the production on this album. I think this is the best that Adele has sounded vocally, like “To Be Loved” shocked me, so much emotion and impressive vocal. I love all of Adele’s albums, but I don’t think she has has ever sounded as free as she did on this album. I appreciate it so much because although this is a very sad and heavy album, it sounds like she had a lot of fun with it.     Adele never disappoints. I would like to say that although it has taken me a few listens to get use to her new style, all of the songs have grown on me. Yes, they are slower and some may argue they are less 'catchy', however, it is essential to understand that her lyrics are the main focus. They are so beautiful and touching, annd the songwriting itself is a masterpiece. I have never beenAdele never disappoints.     Adele is evolving while giving the general public her classic sound. This album is not ALL piano ballads and there is some experimental sounds for adele, some more pop other more blues, it’s a beautiful journey from start to finish with no skips.

    Rating a two because there are only two songs that I more or less enjoy. You could argue that the whole album is cohesive and that’s a plus but not when its a cohesive collection of bad songs. 10/12 songs are bad. Not her best lyrics either. When you sit down and compare to her previous work, the production, the message, and the lyrics just fall short. There are touches of Aretha in almost every song and not in a honorable way but more like she is takingownership of those techniques and genre. I drink wine and To be loved are the only songs I find are somewhat good. None of these songs are iconic.     Listening to this album takes you on a journey. A rollercoaster journey. You’ll be sad, happy, you’ll dance and you’ll cry. Maybe both at the same time. This is a masterpiece. When you listen to it as whole is like watching a cinematographic piece. There’s opening, there’s “credits” by the end and there’s a lot of emotions for you to allow yourself to feel.

    This is probably her best album yet. The production behind is majestic, there's a cinematographic vibe in the whole work which reminds me of her first album 19, Amy Winehouse and Lana Del Rey. She also experimented a lot and shared some really private moments of her life with those lyrics.

This album also showcase Adele's versatility with more jazz, pop (but not like she did before with such as pop ballad songs) and a little bit trap sound.     I cannot stop listening, after about 10 run throughs of the album in its entirety I find myself speechless. Between ‘To Be Loved’ and ‘Cry Your Heart Out’ being my favorites, ‘My little One’ offers a different and deepening perspective for the listener to access her vulnerability in a way no other artist has. Absolutely amazing!

    I’ve always known Adele made good music but I never bothered to check her discography. I thought her new album would be a good place to start and I was not disappointed. The album has so many good songs. I decided to rate it a 7 because there are two or three songs that I just get bored of halfway through. The album definitely has a lot of highs but has a few skips too.

    Depois de, literalmente, passar o dia escutando o álbum, cheguei a conclusão de que é o maior e melhor álbum já feito pela Adele. As composições são simplesmente perfeitas! Adele conseguiu nos dar algo muito maior do que foi prometido. Absurdamente GENIAL.

    the album again makes me cry but this time it's not the torment, it's the tears when I've overcome all the ups and downs in this life. I'm really glad that Adele has grown up, I hope she will be happier forever than ever. Her vocals in era 30 really reached their peak, the lyrics are also much more deeply.

    Hits all demographics without pandering. She took risks while staying true to her sound. I feel that this is the true Adele. All of the artists that have inspired her can be heard in different parts of this album. Finally a musician says "this is my most personal album ever" and actually follows through!

    I don't hate this album but it's just so painfully mediocre for Adele. The tracks themselves don't really ever peak at anything and the lyricism is sad, but not amazing. This album is obviously personal and definitely a divorce album but it just misses so many marks, especially for Adele. It just doesn't compare to 21 and 25 and is much more on 19's level when comparing her old works toI don't hate this album but it's just so painfully mediocre for Adele.     Simply Wonderful. She dives into so many different genres, the sounds are fun, raw, and just new. It was a nice departure into a more dynamic and even more real adele. I could not be happier with the new music!

    The album can bring you into many kinds of emotions. The album tracks did not fade in fact of the strong impact of the single, Easy on Me. The arrangement of the songs reall turned out so well. The album is incredible.

    Exploring the poignant and turbulent emotions divorce has to go through, Adele's 30 captures an intimate and vulnerable sense of self-reflection, worth, and acceptance. The inclusion of her son's voice in My Little Love and her friend' vocals in Hold On yearns for comfort and understanding for the decision she has made- something that would free her from all the burden she has gone through.

    Esse álbum está maravilhoso. Bem diferente dos anteriores. Ele emociona ao mesmo tempo que nos motiva, sem contar nos vocais perfeitos de Adele, superior aos seus trabalhos anteriores. Hold On, My Little Love, Easy On Me, Oh My God, Can I Get It e To Be Loved são os grandes destaques.

    30 is one of the most flawless and personal albums I've ever had the pleasure to listen to, this is definitely Adele's greatest work to date.     Despite her albums being snapshots, sometimes a little more diversity in subject matter would be a good thing. Ultimately, while some intriguing risks have been taken, 30 is probably the weakest, as well as conversely the most intimate and in many ways bravest, Adele album to date.
