Very beautiful album! You can find some really cool, unique and fresh musical compostions here. Some rock, pop, folk and country elements can be found mixed in this Album!
Great songs such as "then again" , "Razorblade", "favourite boy" and many other songs, make it a great piece of art. The lead singer (Devon Portielje), displays his great vocal skills.
    I really recommend this album

I really recommend this album for somebody who's looking forward to explore new music. It's really melodic and easy to hear.

I wholeheartedly agree with Vasco'77L's review. This outfit from Canada has got to be one of the most underrated bands in the world. Another great album from a great band. I saw them live twice in Paris, and they were just awesome.

Es un excelente álbum que combina la tranquilidad de sus melodías con un ritmo pegajoso y letras totalmente suaves a las cuales es fácil apegarse. Considero que el álbum está totalmente integrado a pesar de que todas las canciones sean diferentes. Hands down the best album I've ever heard. Some songs caused me to feel an emotion I can only describe as a fear of God, which is pretty impressive, given that I'm an atheist. The album gained relevancy through 2020 with songs like Razorblade or New Truth, which gained additional level of complexity and context. The only song that felt somehow off was Jello on my Mind, which would be better off towards the beginning of the album. This feels like a proper sequel to the Dark Eyes album. I can only recommend this one, there aren't many like it. Expand

It's their determination to flaunt their multi-instrumental credentials that derails some songs. ... Much more effective is when HMR exercise restraint. [Jan 2020, p.109]

Only the folksy "Yani's Song" harkens back to the group's more homespun genesis, but the likable A Blemish in the Great Night, despite housing some significant lyrical undercurrents of discord, retains enough residual heat to keep your feet warm, like a thin wool blanket designed for mild evenings.
