Oct 1, 2021Organ, steel guitar, the Memphis guys with nice vocals in the background, some very infectious rock n' roll tunes -- what's not to love. Plus interesting variety across the album and consistently strong songwriting from Greg Cartwright. Can't wait to see Reigning Sound when they hit the road again.

MojoMay 21, 2021For all the grown-up entanglements and era-specific worries, it's championship-winning stuff. [Jul 2021, p.85]

UncutMay 21, 2021They immediately settle back into a familiar dynamic on the aptly titled opener “Let’s Do It Again”, with the band providing a lively and sympathetic soundtrack to Cartwright’s tale of loneliness and longing. They’ve learned more than a few new tricks over the years, as evidenced on the lovely psychedelic chamber-pop saga “Just Say When”, a duet with Coco Hames. [Jun 2021, p.31]

May 21, 2021A Little More Time sometimes suggests he recorded with this edition of Reigning Sound out of convenience or availability rather than a desire to reclaim the glories of the past. None of that changes the fact that Cartwright is a truly great songwriter, though, and he's delivered 11 winners on A Little More Time with Reigning Sound (as well as a roaring cover of Adam Faith's "I Don't Need That Kind of Lovin'"), played by a band who know his music and give it the expert support it needs.
