good debut album, Mimi's vocals are on point and its lyricaly fine, although i feel like something's missing, each song is a radio-material pop track, i wanna hear more from her!

A great debut! Mimi's vocals are really strong particularly on Last Train to London, which somehow topped her best song to date, Goodbye. The singles have been really promising from this first album, on par with Seven Shades of Heartbreak.

Webb makes a strong debut on Amelia. With strong vocals and good production. While not especially groundbreaking, "The Other Side" and "Red Flags" start off the album strong, with tracks "House on Fire" and "Freezing" being other notable tracks on this project. The album perhaps plays it a bit too safe, and more experimenting would do some good for future projects by Mimi Webb. Overall notWebb makes a strong debut on Amelia. All 12 tracks are undeniably well-made and catchy songs, but it veers into all-too predictable territory in places.

Expectations [are] built by her collaborators - who aided artists like Dua and Kylie in carving revered pop niches - weigh detrimentally on the record: it doesn’t push itself nearly as far. Yet, undeniably, it’s a dependable, invigorating debut.

Making a value judgement on Amelia is a tricky business, it being as immediate as undiluted Ribena. However, the album knows what it wants to do and pursues this with relentless efficiency.
